I did get convinced of various things because of
other skeptics online so I had big hopes for this
site.
As a member of the non-scientific «
skeptic» camp (but not a denialist), I find this particular topic and most
other topics introduced on this
site to be extremely valuable in forming my thoughts on the entire GW / human impact debate.
But none of the rest of the post apparently, is dedicated to examining what the «
other side» to the
skeptic side promulgated here on this
site, might be.
I am also struck that many of the AGW
skeptics on this and
other sites do so without monetary compensation.
Yes, they were interesting (and educational) times, before Climategate I didn't think much about the reasons for the great big new taxes but when Climategate occurred I took an interest and since then have become a
skeptic or denialist or whatever the current word is Perhaps what Politicisation has done in the name of science is demonstrate that there are inquiring and courageous scientific and
other minds that do not close And where's Bulldust (I think he is Australian as I am) and the coiner of the phrase «Climategate» Happy anniversary everyone, thank you Anthony for a wonderful
site
And, if you think it's bad here, you might take a day and pose as an advocate for action on climate change on
sites like WUWT, JoNova, Curry, or any of the many
other lightly or unmoderated «
skeptic»
sites.
The quality of the
site have created a lot of traffic from warmers,
skeptics, spaceweather fanatics and many
others.
Global warming «
skeptics» — scientists and
others who question whether the scientific debate is truly settled and ask for real data to support the claims of the alarmists — are frequently attacked in the press, by politicians (including President Barack Obama), and on countless blogs and Web
sites.
Some of them, and
other prominent
skeptics, have taken part in discussion on this
site... often at the express invitation of the moderators.
As reported on this
site on February 15, the documents revealed, among
other facts, that the Heartland Institute, as part of a larger strategy for undermining support for global warming, was supporting prominent
skeptics such as physicist Fred Singer and geologist Robert Carter.
There's dozens of threads and hundreds of comments on this
site from very well informed
skeptics (amongst
others) explaining the facts.
