like to think of it as easy comfort food: hearty, cozy and reliable, or in
other words, the warm wooly
sweater of family dinners.
Try to move away from the standard holiday red and green and go for

like plum, maroon, and browns so that you can wear this

sweater weather season», and as you have seen in fashion shows
like Louis Vuitton, Chloé or Christian Dior among
others,
sweaters have been featured a lot.
One long blouse which almost looks
like a dress (I
like to combine it with a chunky
sweater when it's crisp outside) and the
other one with really cute ruffles.
I've been looking for a top
like this to layer under
other tops and
sweaters for as long as I can remember and have found nothing comparable to this one at any of my regular stores (J.Crew, Madewell, H&M, etc.).
I did a poll on instagram stories the
other day when I tried this
sweater dress on about whether it was cute or too much
like a housecoat, but then I realized that if I can get away with wearing something super comfy and robe -
like out of the house while still looking relatively put together, that's a win.

Ok, so the
other part of pants that I don't
like as an apple - shaped woman, is how the button part of the waistband sticks out, especially when I'm wearing a soft pretty

Speaking of oversize trend... I do
like that long
sweater worn as a dress trend, you know by itself... that one at least seems
like a no brainier, but combining it with
other clothing items seems a bit hard... skinny jeans seem an obvious option... as well as tights... but with
other types of pants and skirts, it can sort of split us in two and look too bulky - what do you think?
They are so comfortable and I feel
like they could be worn with so many things (I wore them to get a pedi with a
sweater the
other day).
I've already gone ahead and gotten myself some of these pieces,

I personally
like to team one brown item with
other colors, for instance, brown coat looks awesome worn atop white
sweater teamed with black skinnies, either with a blue chambray shirt and black leather pants.
Ok but you could look great in
other types of
sweaters like the oversized one for example!
A lot of my outfits don't even make it to the blog and I wore my yellow jacket with this simple navy cashmere v - neck
sweater and a red bag the
other day and think I actually
like that getup the most.
Which is why this year we decided that we'll either splurge and go out with friends to somewhere we know we'll have fun or stay at home
like it's any
other day, just dinner and movies — no expectations (possibly wearing this

There were sportier pieces,

like to mix and match my
sweaters with pieces I wear from
other seasons.
And by that I mean, wearing similar shades over each
other — whether that's mixing taupe, cream and camel (
like I did in the chunky - knit
sweater below), or charcoal, black and olive green (
like I did in the cardigan).
I'm going to have to check out Old Navy, two of the three
sweaters I
liked the best were Old Navy (the
other one was Forever 21).
It's
like a «boyfriend
sweater», the
other version of «boyfriend jeans».
This cardigan actually worked because it's a slouchier fit with sloped shoulders, and wasn't cut as short and wide
like most kids
sweaters (on the
other hand, a few
other pieces I tried in the same brand and size were comically bad on me).
For some reason, I don't remember now why, I took the
sweater off part way through shooting, oh I think I wanted some pictures with it just over my shoulders, which looks cool when I see
other people do it but when I do it it just looks
like I have no arms.
Before I go, though, a few

sweater, these Sam Edelman leopard flats, this sparkly
sweater, this poncho, these Nikes which are perfect for traveling, and these Coach boots.
But here's the thing about those mornings: sometimes throwing on a pair of jeans to match that soft
sweater aren't an option, for sake of work or
other endeavors where you don't want to look... well,
like you took 2 minutes to get ready and don't care.
The
other trend I'd love to try is the Peter Pan collar that's showing up on blouses,
sweaters, t - shirts, and even accessories
like necklaces.
It was really dark out the
other day and it looked
like it might rain, so I was chuckling to myself as I was «summerizing» the house and taking pics while wearing a
sweater.
I realize that for this challenge, you want to use the clothes you have but this is the type of dress that would make this challenge alot easier because you could wear it on its own, or with a blouse or
other top underneath it, or with a
sweater or top over it so it looks
like a skirt.
