Having students see that
teachers are writing about their insights and their successes publicly, whether on
blogs or in emails to
other teachers, is just one more way to show them they are an important.
The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages has all kinds of tools on its Web site at www.actfl.org, including a new networking hub that allows foreign language
teachers to connect with each
other via discussion groups and
blogs.
That poor but faithful messenger came to mind the
other day when Diane Ravitch, a close ally of
teacher unions, pulled a «Tigranes» in her
blog post.
Rather than sending home flyers, all the
teachers have online
blogs where they can post newsletters, homework assignments, and
other information for students and parents.

blog our department is able to share information with
teachers about video creation and many

Blogs are maintained by an individual, in our case a
teacher or student, who writes a post, or regular entry, sharing a commentary, description of an event, or
other audio - visual material such as a video.
From classroom management to working with parents, lesson planning to learning environments, this compilation of

other applications as ways to learn and to share what they've learned.
And in
other teacher leadership news, the Education Policy Center at the American Institutes for Research has unveiled a new
blog devoted to the issue.

teachers were miles apart in their understanding of each
other.
