It might help to have someone
other than Mom try to do the bottle feeding at first, since Baby will sometimes refuse the bottle if she can smell Mom nearby (source).

Try having someone
other than mom feed the bottle — in fact,
mom may need to leave the house altogether!

My grandmother always said that the «babies haven't read the manual» — and I
try to keep this in mind in my journey as a parent... I do read - at times a lot more
than other times - about the science of parenting - I appreciate the fact that there IS information out there that is available if needed / wanted — and I appreciate blogs like these who have intelligent
moms backing intelligent thoughts....
Many
moms find it more effective

Is she
trying to make calls about dinner or t - ball or the dozens of
other bits of minutiae that her partner hasn't keyed in on because 64 percent of
moms in two - parent households say that they do more
than their spouse or partner when it comes to managing their children's schedule and activities?
Trying other methods helps your baby understand there are
other ways he can get milk rather
than just from
mom.
This means that even if
mom has something super important to take care of, like make an appointment with a doctor, or you know, tend to the wound she inflicted on herself while
trying to make homemade chicken nuggets (because the kids won't eat anything
other than chicken nuggets and she's
trying to give them something that's more healthful
than the processed crap,) she is often interrupted by the kids.
Although it does have organic sugar, this recipe has quite a bit less sugar
than my
mom's original recipe (and most
other pumpkin bread recipes)-- and you could probably even reduce the sugar content by swapping some 1/2 cup of the sugar for 2 Tablespoons of stevia (I might
try it next time).
We have a lot in common in terms of being
moms,
trying to live a healthy lifestyle with fitness and food, an interest in fashion yet realizing that being busy
moms we have to be more practical and
other things have become more important
than mani / pedis and putting on a full face of makeup every day.
