it seems like these verses say that there are so many
other things about God no recorded in the gospels, that the world couldn't even contain the books that would be written if they were recorded....

I was thinking this the
other day, when a lot of the Facebook executives get on Twitter and feel victim - y, they're doing their victim - y dance right now a lot of the time, and at one point, Boz, Bosworth, when he said, «Maybe people will die,» that memo, and instead of being like, «Oh
god, we really have to be more mature
about this,» their
thing was, «We can't talk now.»
But it is one
thing to state that all human beings have some access to
God's law within and through human nature, quite another to expect natural law theories based on reason alone to persuade
others about contested moral issues in a context where such theories are stripped of their foundations in
God as creator, lawgiver, and judge.
The funny
thing about people saying their faith isn't shaken is that these are the same people who will often look at

God disapproves of.

thing in life is how we treat one an

@ fimeilleur the carl sagan reference was more relevant before it became obscured by all the
other posts.no one said any
thing about a death bed conversion, that is something you assumed, (when you assume you make an ass of u and me) whether you believe in
God or not is irrelevant, you will ultimately confront
God, at that point in carls case after death you will know!.
Why just the atheists... and by the way, why not just go to your local maternity ward in your hospital... all of those babies are atheists... they haven't learned a
thing about your
god, or any of the
other thousands of
gods.
@fimeilleur actually i can back up the claims i make both personally and historically, one example Abraham, Machpelah (actual location of his tomb and remains along with 5
others in Israel right where they are supposed to be) Kedorlaomer king of Elam, (defeated by Abraham and recently discovered) it is said Abraham believed
God and it was credited to him as righteousness.More than that Abraham saw God and spoke with Him, not the god you are on about that men use to justify their evil intent, but the God who has created all things, the God that no one especially you can not contain.Ignorance is your choice but that will not negate the existence of God in any way.No one that i am aware of has all the answers at this point regarding spiritual things, evolution or evilution there are areas God has not yet revealed to mankind but every day more is discovered.I find it amazing that God is big enough to share discovery even with those who would reject H

The most holy, the noblest, the best, the most godlike
things about us is our human capacity to learn personhood in responsible self - government (taking up personal responsibility for our own eternal fate) and to share in communion with
other persons, and most of all with the unseen
God.
I mean here you are, trying to prove, among
other things, that the bible is true down to the letter, even after you know
about the council of nicea and that whether the bible was originally written by
god, it was revised and edited during that time.
I know that I see elements of divine around me in
things and in ways that
others don't, including
other religious people... And as long as different religions and even sects constantly argue
about what
god truly is, and as long as they come up with different asnwers, then I have to say that the spiritual elements of our universe simply manifest differently for different folks, including not at all for some... as with those who label themselves as athiest...
I am proud to say I believe in
God, I did have the choice to belive or not to believe just as anyone else does, just because I choose to believe in something doesn't mean I have been brainwashed, I could say the same
thing about you, but I won't, people can believe what they want to believe, I don't need anyone telling me what to believe, if I believe is because I have seen what He has done in my life and in
other lives too, and that's more than enough for me to believe in Him.
Bartlo believes Christians have to be intentional
about sitting down — distraction free — and carving out time for
God on a daily basis, even though it's sometimes easier to just pray «in between»
other activities throughout the day or while walking from one
thing to the next.
Hmmmm... no one person believes exactly the same
things about «
god» as all the
others.
The fact is if you believe the words of
God and the teachings of Jesus, this practice is an abomination and nothing that anyone can do to make it pretty, nice, sweet, loving or any
other thing to make it acceptable can override what the Lord says
about it.
Christians do not then force
others to believe anything, but rather go to their homes as Jesus commanded his genuine disciples to do, seeking to discuss, reason and hopefully teach them
about our Creator, Jehovah
God and his kingdom, for Jesus said just before he ascended to heaven: «Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations... teaching them to observe all the
things I have commanded you.»
This is a serious theological and ontological error which is behind your absurd question
about «where was
God» when some bad
thing or
other happened.

God, and very knowledgeable
about how most
things should be done and how life should be lived.
I don't know what
God thinks, but to me if gay marriage is
about family life and the possibility of raising children (in
other words a desire on the part of gays to be accepted into married life as it exists) then I think it is a good
thing for the same reasons that I think hetero families are good and necessary.
Just as
God will not remove his grace from us, there are certain
other things about conversion that can never be removed from us, or repeated in us.
I still think we should still go to the church... or maybe a meeting where all the believer can learn from each
other, strengthening each
other, pray for each
other etc, and of course, to worship
God together... It is true that sometime I feel that I do not learn many
thing from the sermon, but, many times, I learn by going to the church, knowing that I will not learn something from the preacher, humble myself to still listen to
God and worship Him,,,, it is such a blessing to hear
others testimony
about how
God works in their life, it is such an encouragement to see people open up their problem, then, we can pray
about them..
Others believe many different
things about God including that there is no such
thing.
Churches are usually pretty good
about valuing motherhood, but I think that sometimes the intense focus on that aspect of what Christian womanhood means can lead to us devaluing a lot of
other amazing
things that women can (and do) do for
God.
I was a fundamentalist because my security and self - worth and sense of purpose in life were all wrapped up in getting
God right — in believing the right
things about him, saying the right
things about him, and convincing
others to embrace the right
things about him too.
And Christians alone can do that — because the
others know nothing
about all this, and because only the Christians receive the power of the Holy Spirit and are required by
God to do these
things.
And they need to be taught that
other things, like
God, we really don't know a damn
thing about.
They just need to be taught that some
things, like all religions, are just junk that was made up by salesmen and politicians long ago; and that
other things, like
god, we really don't know a damn
thing about.
As she continues to read, we hear
about Paul's incarceration and persecution,
about how Jesus is «the image of the invisible
God, the firstborn over all creation,»
about watching out for all those false teachings that circulated through the trade routes,
about how we ought to stop judging each
other over differences of opinion regarding religious festivals and food (I blush a little at this point and resolved to make peace with some rather opinionated friends before the next sacred meal),
about how we should clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, and love,
about how we must forgive one another,
about how the
things that once separated Jew from Greek and slave from free are broken down at the foot of the cross,
about how we should sing more hymns.
for all you people who come on this blog and say that you do not believe that

other bad

And thank
God we live in a society where you can express yourself freely and use your family SUV as a mobile conveyance device for your political views and
other things you're angry
about.
Am not anti-Christ nor Anti-Jewish just like all Muslims am a monotheist so must be rather Anti-Polytheists & Disbelievers... but believe me it is not hatred but rather pityness for the innocents and hardness towards the wicked transgressors... Guess that is all
about it unless few of our brother got the message wrong!?! Since we learned from the Quran verses that there will be in paradise from the Jews, Christian and
others from
other beliefs... and since
God forgives any
thing else
other than to assign for him partners as polytheists do, then that means many of Christians and Jews are monotheist towards
God although might show otherwise of fears from dominant doctrine... As it seems few Christians have realized some how they were wrong some where, then had to introduce that Trinity to correct it to show as if monotheist but made another mistake by having
God the One Divided into Three then and remained Divided as Three as now and for eternity...!?
(I did meet his wife though, after
about 20 years — she was wonderful) I was in all the prayer / intercession groups (I was called to prayer and a few
other things) and several times one of the
other pray - ers sort of intimated that ours was «The» church of the city, and I'd always then start praying for every
God called church in my city.
Our problems don't go away unless we get help from
other humans or take action for ourselves... there's no
God in the sky that does a dam
thing about our prayers.
It is no surprise that our re-invention of
God tends toward imagining a
God who doesn't leave us in the dark
about these
things; in
other words, a
God without mystery.
I would strike up a conversation, then say «you don't know me but I'm a Christian and
God is going to share with me
about your life» I don't mean simple
things like «you have the flu» or «Headaches», but deep, personal
things that
others couldn't know or even guess.
What does it matter when we die what is important is what we do with our life now.The struggles people find themselves is because of living a sinful lifestyle you cant play with fire and not get burnt there are consequences.Jesus wants to bring forgiveness and healing and remove the guilt and shame that you are feeling.Ive have been there i was just as guilty i do nt believe theres a big screen that replays our life if it is it, it will be
about what we have done for
God as our sins are covered under the blood of Jesus. The judgement for christians is that we must give an account of what we did for Jesus while we were here did we make the most of opportunities given to tell
others to reach out
others with his love.Mat 25:14 - 30 the Parable of the talents talks
about judgement and for me it is all
about what we do for Jesus the ones who are faithfull in the small
things are set over much. The one who did nt use his talent that
God gave him was punished for his lack of faith. So for those who are struggling with sin and life Jesus loves you and has a plan for your life just trust him to help you and he will.To be fair its wont be easy you will have to make some hard choices but he promises to help you through its all
about choosing him over choosing what we think best because he knows whats best for us.Its important the choice you make as it will impact your life for eternity.brentnz

things about others, merely based on the fact that they don't believe in your

God calls the shots not satan satans demons bow to
Gods authority and must get his permission so they beg Jesus to send the demons into the pigs.Jesus allows it so we can see satans purpose is always to destroy life.God is still the same yesterday today and forever he is the giver of life.We do know that the pigs were owned by the gentile nations and may well have been offered or about to be offered to there gods which would mean they would belong to satan.Like the example Jesus said about taxes should he pay them and he said give to caesar what is caesars.Or the other option was that it showed Gods mercy to the man that had been healed by delivering him of the demons and he was also protecting the people in the area from the influence of the demons. So God is still the same he is unchangeable and definitely not bipolar.I would say if anyone was bipolar in this situation it is David and he like us struggled with the same choice to walk according to the flesh or walk according to the spirit of God.bre

I can say the same
about other mythical creatures too, and all those
things you just listed can be explained without a
god.
But on the
other hand, when in talking
about sin one talks only of such sins, it is so easily forgotten that in a way it may be all right, humanly speaking, with respect to all such
things up to a certain point, and yet the whole life may be sin, the well - known kind of sin: glittering vices, willfulness, which either spiritlessly or impudently continues to be or wills to be unaware in what an infinitely deeper sense a human self is morally under obligation to
God with respect to every most secret wish and thought, with respect to quickness in comprehending and readiness to follow every hint of
God as to what His will is for this self.
And if having an extra chromosome was on par with disease and destruction and
other things that are not of
God, what did that say

Such
things might be included here as natural theology (the making of inferences
about God from a study of the natural world); the teachings of
other great religions — again, to the extent they are compatible; or even the Old Testament prophets, depending on how you view their relationship to Jesus.
Faith itself can lead to faith, for once we believe some
things about God, it becomes easier to believe
other things.
Our concept of
God is the most important
thing about us because it determines our relationship with
God, with
others and with ourselves.
