Being a
mom of

At the mother - of -
twins club meetings, I would listen to all the
other moms — including those with full - term
twins with good birth weights — talk about projectile vomit, diarrhea, high fevers, and often hospitalization
for pneumonia.
Different groups have different strengths (some seem to have strong contingents of Babywise supporters, some have lots of resources
for lactation consultants, many have both) but they'll all GET it, and there will be
other moms with toddler +
twins that will have tips and advice and general commisseration.
As a
twin mom (or any
mom for that matter), you may want to write «the
twin mom's survival guide» and offer it to
other moms through your site.
Many a
mom will tell you they had particular symptoms, inklings or
other reasons
for suspecting a
twin pregnancy.
Fortunately
for this
mom, her midwife ended up delivering the
twins, one with initial breathing problems and the
other requiring some manual help to exit.
She also has a passion
for her job, which is teaching
other twin moms how to navigate parenting
twins.
Find
other twin moms who have nursed (reach out to your local LLL Leader
for help), a good IBCLC, people willing to entertain your older child, and help around the house in the early months.
And we all know like this parenting thing it is not a one size fits all and what works
for you, does not necessarily works
for me and I feel like that... usually when I am posting stuff on Facebook or people are asking
for my opinion on stuff, that is usually how I phrase it... I actually had a
twin mom yesterday reach out to me and it wasn't regarding breastfeeding but it was her babies kept hitting each
other.
