I could write for weeks about coconut palm sugar, yacon syrup, honey, agave, grade B maple syrup, date sugar and
the other unrefined sugars I love to use.

Unrefined foods also lack many of the ingredients that tend to make you eat more calories than you realize, such as refined
sugars, oils, and
other flavorings.

Although I do post specifics on some of my recipe titles, I find it helps
others searching for more specific recipes, but I do still enjoy recipes and goodies filled with
unrefined sugars and I still use oils on occasion, again, everything is balanced.
Other people think brown
sugar is better than white
sugar because [brown
sugar] is
unrefined, so it still contains important minerals such as iron.
Only
sugars from evaporated cane juice can be classified as truly «raw» or
unrefined sugars (of the cane variety —
sugars can come from
other sources as well, such as beets and fruit).
All the
other dietary advice is pretty much what I recommend to all my readers, regular meals throughout the day that contain a high source of organic protein, healthy fats, a small amount of
unrefined carbs (sweet potato, brown rice, quinoa, buckwheat, oats), plenty of fresh fruit and veg and little - zero added
sugar.
