The Assassin's Creed movie, for all of its flash and production value, falls victim to the curse that has befallen many
other video game movies.
With that said, the Mega Man games typically aren't as story driven as some other video game properties that have recently started development for the silver screen such as Assassins Creed, also being handled by Fox, which begs the question as to whether or not this project can succeed where so many
other video game movies have failed miserably in the past.
In the future, there is no doubt in my mind that Tomb Raider will become the template for
other video game movies to follow.
This may not be the worst video game movie, but that says a heck of a lot more about
the other video game movies than it does about «Doom.»
In some ways you could say this movie suffers from the pitfalls of
other video game movies where there's not enough time to flesh out exposition and the action sequences suffer from rushed conflict resolution.
