Yes - add the milk to
the other wet ingredients.
Bottom layer is dressing or
other wet ingredient.
In the instructions it says to combine vegetable oil along with
the other wet ingredients.
Melt the coconut on the hob or in the microwave and add in
the other wet ingredients.
In some recipes, you can leave the ground flax in the blender and add
the other wet ingredients to it, thus saving you the extra step of the bowl.
My only substitutions were dijon mustard (~ 2 tsp) in place of dry mustard and a clove of minced garlic instead of garlic powder for the sauce (if you do this, put them in when you add the ketchup and
other wet ingredients) and I used bakery fresh kaiser rolls instead of hamburger buns.
If you do decide to use honey, heat it a bit first to thin it and then mix it in with
the other wet ingredients before adding them to the dry.
2 flax eggs (2 tablespoons flaxseed meal and 6 tablespoons of water in a small bowl, set in the fridge for at least a half hour before adding to
other wet ingredients)
Also, if you puree the dates before adding
any other wet ingredients I find it works much better, and is less messy.
The tangzhong is added together with
all other wet ingredients.
Then grab your flax / water mixture, give it another good whisk, and pour it into
the other wet ingredients and stir.
If using vanilla extract instead of spices, add it with
the other wet ingredients.
If you use a liquid sweetener, you'd have to reduce one of
the other wet ingredients by that amount.
I added it with
the other wet ingredients.
I would whisk together 2 tbs Ener - G egg replacer + 1/2 cup water in a small bowl, and add that to the stand mixer with
the other wet ingredients instead of the egg whites.
I added it with 3/4 cup warm water (to make up 1 cup from the recipe) when I added all
the other wet ingredients.
I didn't do this and ended up with a big clumpy mess when I tried beating the butter with
the other wet ingredients — I'll know better for next time.
Add
the other wet ingredients (applesauce, honey, vanilla) to that same bowl and stir.
Pro tip: If you're using natural peanut butter that's difficult to stir, blend the peanut butter and
other wet ingredients in a blender first before mixing in the oats and remaining dry ingredients.
The sweetener used in this mix is honey which is added with
the other wet ingredients and may be substituted with agave or another sugar substitute.
Stir all of the dry ingredients, mash those nanners, and stir it along with
the other wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
Wet ingredients like honey or extract should get mixed in with
the other wet ingredients before they are added to the dry ingredients.
If using cold / room temperature coffee, whisk it into
the other wet ingredients before adding them to the dry ingredients.
Add vanilla after
the other wet ingredients are combined.
