Traditional
white flour and sugar has been processed to remove the fiber and virtually all of the nutrition right along with it, leaving not much
other than sugar and starch (which to the body might as well be sugar).
(Cuisinart CBK - 200) I'm not trying to put a plug in for Cuisinart here, but what I wanted to let you know is that I tried your
white sandwich bread recipe in this bread maker, used the total amount of
flour, and followed the recipe exactly
other than adding an extra 1/4 cup of water to accommodate the bread machine.
I know my 19mo will eat this To make this gluten free, I use
white rice
flour, although
other gluten free options such as brown rice
flour or almond
flour would work well too.
Watch out for: Darker in color than many
other flours, it's not a good choice for baked goods that should look
white.
