Between my
painted farmhouse style kitchen table and chairs and my Menards chalk
painted desk, plus all of the
other painted white furniture in our home I have yet to share with you all,
white seems to be my thing.
Good moaning Beach Cottage friends, foes, anyone who would care to listen really... today I am here to show you a cottage in chaos... well not really, one does tend to be on the dramatic side, but, right now my lovely husband, aka Mr Beach Cottage and I are camping out in the study while I
paint our bedroom floor
white... this has not been met with the most favourable of comments but after lots of quotes from tradies, upwards of $ 15,000, talk of us moving out of the house for a week while our floors are
painted,
other speak of loading all of our
furniture (of which I am not short) into one half of the house and
other various scenarios, I decided to go the DIY route and start on our bedroom and see what happened.
I have
painted a ton of
furniture white in the past few months and let me tell you, no
other paint
I love the dark brown trim her husband made, and think that it ties in nicely with some of their
furniture (the couch, trunk and side table in the corner), but I'd love to see a couple of the
other wood pieces
painted white and / or blue, (not necessarily the pieces I popped into the photo) just to inject a couple brighter colors, and to establish a dedicated color palette.
Then you can set the
furniture like the vanity desk, bed frame, desk, and the
other wooden stuffs in
white paint wooden stuffs.
I'm dying to
paint a piece of
furniture something
other than black or
white -LCB- although, I did do brown on chairs at last years Procrastinator Party -RCB-.
