the other zombie books I've tried to read and a series I have very much enjoyed.)

I find it interesting that you require
others to prove science to you, something you can actually do yourself, but you are more than willing to take the word of a
book containing multiple accounts of
zombies.

The combination of period drama, alternative timelines, fantasy elements,
zombies, and complex socio - historical - cultural contexts makes this
book a welcome departure from
other contemporary genre - specific young adult texts.
Other than that, it wasn't an awful
zombie book.
Some authors have also tried their hand at creating
zombie books for
other holidays.
Though I haven't scared myself with
zombies, there are a few
other creatures I have in mind for future
books that had me looking over my shoulder at times.

Zombie themed video games have really taken off in popularity and has partially fueled the success of
other zombie themed entertainment such as the hit TV series and graphic novels The Walking Dead and
books such as The Passage.
You've got shades of The Matrix, where people's bodies atrophy while they're living in a machine - constructed dreamworld; of the
zombie - like VR junkies in Shadowrun; and of every
other movie,
book, and video game about people ruining their real - world lives to enjoy a virtual one.
