nice to see you crawl
out of your hole just in time to offer your 2 cents worth once again... unlike yourself I started following this team long before Wenger arrived on the scene and will continue to do so long after he's gone... in his earlier years I admired the cerebral elements he brought to the EPL, which at that point was more brutish than beautiful, and I respected the seemingly tireless efforts of Arsene, Dein & staff to uncover and develop talent without sacrificing the product on the field... likewise I appreciated that such a youthful manager wasn't afraid to bring strong personalities and / or
world - class players
into the fold without being fearful of how said players would potentially undermine and / or dilute his authority... unfortunately this all changed about 10 years ago and culminated in the removal of all our greatest players, both young and old, without any real replacements coming in... from Henry to RVP to Fabergas and Nasri, it was easy to see that this club was no longer interested in competing at the highest levels... instead of being honest, minus the ridiculous claims regarding the new stadium, Wenger chose to side with management and in doing so became the «front man» for this corporation pretending to be a
world - class soccer club... without the «front man» this organization would have been exposed numerous years earlier, so his presence was imperative if the facade was to continue... it's for this reason and more that I despise what this once great man and Kroenke has done to my beloved club... the gutless, shameful and manipulative way they have treated the fans,
like myself, is largely indefensible and this is why I felt it necessary to start offering my opinion in a public format... trust me, I resisted the temptation for many years but as long as the same shit continues to exist I will voice my opinions and if you don't
like it maybe you should look for a different team to pretend to follow
schzney is rubbish, chambers is just potential, mertersacker rubbish, monreal played

In other news, our team seems to be rounding nicely
into form, with a productive off - season and several new additions already settling in, there seems to be a renewed sense of confidence in the air... our well - oiled machine has conducted business again early this year, so we can just sit back, kick our feet up and watch all those other suckers scramble to make panic moves in the 11th hour... of course, we need to tie up a few loose ends but our team of savvy negotiators, under the tutelage of our faithful leader, will perform their usual magic with ample time to spare... I have to laugh when I look around the soccer
world and see all those teams look upon us with envy and scorn as they struggle to mimic our seemingly infallible business model... thank goodness the powers that be had the foresight and fortitude to resist the temptations of the modern football era... instead of listening to all the experts and simply taking the easy way
out by making the necessary improvements on the field and in the front office, we chose the path never traveled... we are truly pioneers in our field... sometimes you just have to have faith in the people that have always conducted themselves in a respectful and honest fashion... most fans aren't so fortunate, they will never know what it's
like to follow a team that treats everyone in and around the club as if they were an extended member of the family... all for one I say... so when you wake up this morning, please try not to gloat when you see rival fans pacing back and forth waiting for their respective teams to pull the usual panic buys, just say nothing and be thankful that it isn't you...

like no one is arguing for AW to stay anymore here on Justarsenal or anywhere else, the only people who want AW to stay are retired opposition players turned pundits or guests on TV, no one can say we are not loyal because we had him for 21 years and worshiped him for at least 17 of those years and tolerated a further one or two more years but now its turning biter

This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play
out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences
into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up
into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly
out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs
out wide, we've seen pace from the
likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I
like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act
like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he
like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played
out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some
world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is
like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
This is the kind of article that highlights exactly what is wrong with this club as a whole... so the question you're asking is what option would be less shitty... after the firestorm surrounding Wenger's contract last season, which somehow led to his highly questionable re-upping for 2 more years, things needed to dramatically change or the inevitable same old, same old was bound to occur... as of right now the bare minimum has occurred... we knew about Sead long before Wenger's renewal so that can't be considered a part of the «new
world order»... so the only real changes are Lehman coming
into the coaching staff, which could be positive but he's always been a Wenger lackey so the jury is still
out, and the acquisition of Lacazette, who I really
like as a player but I question the reasoning behind his signing
Wenger knows how to develop young players
into world beaters and knows get the best
out of ready made players (i.e: Ozil and Monreal), in addition he wouldn't struggle to get his primary targets at Madrid, players
like Ibrahimovic, Alonso and Suarez would've joined immediately.
Wenger put ozil on the wing for his development one thing i do nt get is how the fans do nt see that Wenger done the same process with Wilshere, I remember when Monreal was caught
out at the back post from a set piece and ozil did nt cover he just jogged abit n let monreal get beat, that would be video evidence for Ozil to learn and work on his duty to defend instead of giving him Candy
like a baby n letting him be lazy in the middle not tracking back for the team its a learning process im 100 % Wenger knows ozils best position is in the centre he followed him since Shalke its obvious but Wenger develops players
into world class after seeing Ozil in the
world cup and coming back after the
world cup i coud see he defended alot more helping
out monreal on the flanks and putting in alot more effort only then once hes showed his duty in defending will he be given his free role in the middle.
We start well for a few months then we crumble and go
out of every competition and fall to far behind PL leaders, then when nothing to play for we look
like world beaters and it lures everyone
into false hope that the squad is good enough for the new season, and gives Wenger an excuse not to buy!
Every year when Arsenal go through a bad patch (
like losing ONE
out of the first TEN League games lol) the fans start calling for Wenger to be sacked, but surely he has had to cope with players returning from the
World Cup, an unbelievable injury list, blending new players
into the squad, and he has STILL managed to get us up
into Fourth place already.
There will be difficult moments ahead, we should not all fold

Whilst I am not one to read the papers and belive evrythibg I see and hear we all know that rather than buy an established player AW will buy a cheap alternative and then attempt to convert them
into a
world beater in the positions we need to strengthen most, that way he will be able to dine
out and feed his «I made Thierry Henry» Ego trip for another ten years much
like he is trying to do with Chambers
I wonder how arsene prepares our team for them to produce such lacklustre performances. Its very perplexing for us to lose or draw against poor teams
like chelski and looserpool.I was always a wenger
out due to I being a frustrated fan. When our players are on the pitch they show no desire and no hunger at all. They produce such mediocre performances in front of fans whove paid so much to watch these games. It makes you womder why on earth they have such heavy salaries only to put on a flabbougasting show in front of 55000 fans. Its very ironical that we here on this site shower praise on such performances.players
like ozil recieve such unwarranted praise you might think they are from another planet. Then we have an extremely overrated english core of gibbs ox and walcott Sorry to say this but players
like draxler and rodrigiez are twice these players. This is food for thought for you who support the team blindly due to wengers compulsion that makes you believe that we are playing the
worlds finest brand of football and have a large array of talent that excused him for not going
into the transfer market as at the moment we are currently losing the clubs most coveted round of 16 trophy and putting such dissapointing performances in the league.
