console this March, we wrote that a failed
launch could push the storied firm
out of the hardware business altogether.
Raines said GameStop expects this fall's debut
of the PS4 and Xbox One to make for the biggest
console launch in history, while Microsoft announced that pre-orders for the third - generation Xbox have sold
out faster than both the original Xbox and Xbox 360, which was released in 2005 and has been the bestselling
console for the past two years.
Consoles always get better with time as indicative
of the
launch titles for the 360 and PS3 in comparison to the games that are coming
out now.
Namco Bandai has released an official
launch trailer for the Wii U version
of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 which is due
out this weekend alongside the
console.

of the NBA head office, but 2K Games has decided to make his vision a reality, as they have announced the inclusion
of Euroleague teams as part

of their annual franchise, NBA 2K14, to be released on October 1st in North America and October 4th for the rest
of the world for the PS3 and Xbox 360 (with versions for the next gen
consoles PS4 and Xbox One to be
launched later on).
It would be especially stupid because it would cause the illusion that they have no faith in the NX and are spreading games
out to cover for expectations
of lower hardware sales, which would harm its
launch sales in a way that sales from the other two
consoles could NEVER cover for.
It is impossible to state as a fact that one

launch lineup than the other so long as there are people
out there who don't like the games

console over the other.
man, this is going to be such a long and annoying next gen
of consoles with people saying «the ps4 version looks almost as good as the pc version» when it will be an even larger mountain
of difference between pc and
console last gen, at least for the first year, the
console versions
of games look somewhat similar, obviously the pc versions had way better res and better anti aliasing but next gen, the ps4 and xbox1 are so far behind even a 3 year old pc, and the new stuff coming
out just utterly obliterates the xbox1 and ps4 making them 100 % obsolete and to the people who say «devs will never use it» and «all that power is wasted» talk to me when you have played a game like the witcher 2, crysis 3, or metro last light in 2560x1600 at 60 buttery frames it makes a game like killzone shadowfall look like a freaking ugly

It was a very unusual step at the time for Sony to invite an independent developer like us to their
console launch announcement — as far as I know, it was unprecedented — and it was a nice experience for us, and it probably helped a lot
of new people find
out about the game.
As Battlegrounds barrels towards its 1.0
launch on PC, a move that will push the game
out of Early Access, the Xbox One version is only finding its legs under the
console's Game Preview program.
We should expect many
of the
launch next - gen titles to be PC ports, rather than games designed to get the most
out of the new
console architecture.
Launching with Zelda was a fantastic win for Nintendo, and will no doubt see the system's darling end up on multiple GOTY lists come December time, and with the likes
of Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart and Splatoon 2 hitting before the year's
out, it'll be interesting to see whether this takes on the mantle
of «A Nintendo
console for Nintendo games» again, or if the horizons will broaden to become the system that, honestly, I think it deserves to be.
The
launch line up may have been slim and not as boombastic as most
console launches, it was at least solid and, with a steady stream
of games hitting the eShop weekly and some tremendous looking titles such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 all due in 2017, as well as any potentially unannounced extras that we may find
out about come E3, the first 12 months
of Switch seem to be bright.
While sadly a mobile version
of Shift Quantum isn't in the cards, it's at least coming to the Nintendo Switch as well as the other major
consoles and PC, so check
out our hands - on time with the Switch version below and look for a
launch in the next coming months...
The game will almost certainly be a Switch exclusive, as by that time it will have been
out long enough to fully transition Nintendo off
of the Wii U. Additionally, considering how popular Breath
of the Wild made the Switch, it would make sense to limit this release to a
console - specific
launch.

Had Driveclub come
out at the
launch of the PS4, it would have been a decent graphical showcase for the new
console.
Developer id Software clearly got everything it could
out of its engine, especially when you consider this game originally
launched in the Xbox 360 / PS3 generation
of consoles, seven years ago.
With the likes
of Infamous, Drive Club, The Order being available next year along with the now legendary developers, Naughty Dog set to release their new blockbuster I.P and not to mention the so - called «mega announcement» to be aired today on Spike TV, you would be downright idiotic to count the PS4
out before the
console has even
launched.

of the many 20 GB users and purchased the
console at the
launch event, the same for the PSP when it came
out.
If you
launch a
console that introduces a new method
of control, then you need to start
out with some killer game to show off how awesome that control method is.
They were coming off
of the back
of an excellent
launch for the Switch, and announced a number
of high - profile games that are coming
out very soon for the
console.
With so much time having passed in between those two
launches and Rise
of the Tomb Raider's impending
launch on PS4, it does make you wonder how the game will look and play on PS4 Neo, assuming it comes to the platform, should all
of the rumors surrounding the new
console's release date turn
out to be true.
Not only was the Switch a great
console to
launch, it came
out alongside a new Zelda and a new Mario in the same year, two primary flagships coupled by a bunch
of other smaller hits.
You guys are smoking something really good if you think Xbox 1 or ps4 is going to sell more then wii u this holiday lol... mostly every big 3rd party game is coming
out on current gen or wii u this holiday... ac4, batman, rayman, splinter cell, watch dogs, call
of duty, etc so most people won't even be upgradeing like that yet when mostly all the same games will be
out across all
consoles... Nintendo got all
of them games then there games zelda, pikmin, wonderfull 101, Mario, etc and there ain't no game on ps4 or x1 that's going to sell more then Mario!!!!!! That's a fact... and to top it off we know the wii u is going to get a official price cut right before x1 and ps4
launch... and you guys still think they going to sell more lol... now the next holiday
of 2014 that's the real question will nintendo still have some 3rd paty games and there games to hold off the next halo or god
of war etc????

of thieves and recore caught my attention, will the conference make me go
out and buy my 1st Microsoft
console, maybe not, will look into hologens nearer

While there is no specific date laid
out for what will most likely be the death
of many stores» webpages, it is nice to know that the mini
console will be available before they hit shelves and Nintendo promises that a significant amount
of them will be shipped to stores for the
launch day for those who miss the preorders.
Of course, you could also hold
out for Microsoft's powerhouse Project Scorpio
console, which is expected to deliver true 4K gaming and virtual reality capabilities when it
launches in late 2017.
Instead
of decided which games you'll want to save up for throughout the year, and figuring
out where you'll order from, just dish
out for a monthly Xbox Game Pass sub and relax knowing that you're going to get every first - party game downloaded directly to your
console as soon as it
launches.
If you're planning on getting either next - gen
console at
launch and haven't taken the plunge with Call
of Duty: Ghosts on the 360, PS3 or Wii U, we'd certainly suggest holding
out a little longer as the graphical upgrade appears worthwhile.
Because now that the
consoles are
out in the open and the (somewhat) hastily assembled
launch lineups are
out of the way, we can talk games.
Amazon.com have also seemingly sold
out of their initial allocation
of «
Launch Edition» PlayStation 4
consoles, however pre-orders are still being taken for the «Standard Edition» with the warning that they can not guarantee delivery on the release date.
Watch Dogs 1 was the video game that ushered in the new generation
of consoles by being one
of the
launch titles for the Xbox One and the PS4, albeit Watch Dogs released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 the definitive version was clear right
out the gate, coming to 2016, we get a sequel to Watch Dogs 1, but the sequel managed to garner better reviews than the original.
With the exception
of Sea
of Thieves, Crackdown 3, and State
of Decay 2 (all due
out this year) every new game that was announced at E3 2017 was either also timed exclusives, third party games or
console launch exclusives.
As noted above, the
console will
launch with the Android Operating System but Wang Feng was quick to point
out during the conference that people are always skeptical
of Android
consoles so they took a lot
of effort to make sure that they customised the OS enough to allow for better experience and performance for gamers.
In a press release sent
out this morning by Nintendo, it was confirmed that the Virtual
Console will not be ready to go for the
launch of the
console on March 3.
The success
of the game is great news for Nintendo who have been developing the game since before the Wii U came
out, but it does show how the
console launch line - up failed to attract users outside
of the core Zelda / Nintendo fan base.
