comics in general, even though its revisionist nature may irk some «Justice League» fans, while those who love the
comic might feel like too much was left
out to call this a truly successful
adaptation (400 + densely presented
comic book pages squeezed into a mere 75 minutes).
But it says a lot that half way through the year, the film that leaps to everyone's mind when sussing
out the best
of what we've seen is a
comic book adaptation.

Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy proved that
comic book adaptations could be just as dramatic and heavy as non-genre films, Marvel Studios jumpstarted a massive interconnected series
of superhero movies that were significantly more colorful and humorous, and audiences have been turning
out to both kinds
of superhero films in droves.
Black Mask Studios have made a name for themselves over the past few years for trying some interesting ideas with their
comic books, but now they're branching
out into video with new miniseries
adaptations of some
of their most popular series, to try and encourage more people to read
comics.
