With Kanté patrolling the area in front of defence so well there will be little need for the Brazilian to step
out of defence so aggressively as he used to be forced to do in his previous Chelsea spell.

of the human subject,
so our sole
defence against philosophical reductionism has been limited to pointing
out that it is in reality a reductio adabsurdum.

defence was weak.They were
out of Pablo Zabeleta, Vincent Kompony, Dimichilis, Mangala, Fernandinho, Silva and Auguero. And now all are fit and present,
so don't expect last time result.
After all, a score draw would see us go
out,
so having the clean sheet specialists back in the centre
of defence is great news for Arsenal.
One sunny day in June doesn't make a hot summer... part
of our 4th place junkie years that need to go in to football history... He maybe quick but he actually slows down movement from
defence to attack Can't dribble or defend and his positional sense is average... Hundred grand a week is day light robbery by the whippet... And he crowds
out better plays in squad and stops wenger investing in top quality we need... Might get 16 or 17 mill from some deluded team
so sell qnd let's move on to better things... Dybala for example... Sanchez dybala drexler... Hmm
The problem is our
defence and cdm Flamini: always help the other side Arteta: never was the player than we expect him, he injured most
of the time, and lost the ball in dangerous situation Per: he is good just in corners but he is lazy and slow Our good defender is just kosc and chambers And also debuchy but we must play with
out him aleast 1 month Gibbs and monreal are good players but they are not good
defence So we are very delicate in big and important games
A fair minded manager would admit that our
so called
defence with the ruinous and way
out of his depth Chambers was dead lucky we did not get hammered by 3 clear goals against Chelsea (mainly thanks to Moratas rubbish finishing) even though, overall we did deserve a draw, since Chelsea were also rubbish at the back.
Even they know their
defence is rubbish — why do you think they were
so desperate for V V Dyke — and they want the ball
out of their area ASAP!
Pace only part
of his problem... though a big one... his distribution
of ball
out if
defence is awful... one

So the fact that he confirmed his interest in the young English defender Tyrone Mings, as reported by The Mirror, is fairly
out of character for the Prof.. The 21 - year old is currently playing in the Championship for Ipswich Town and his usual role is as a left back, but at 6ft 3in and with his power and pace, it is thought that he could easily make the switch to central
defence, which is coincidentally the weakest part
of the Arsenal squad right now.
Before the Man United game, most Arsenal fans were regretting that Laurent Koscielny was taken
out injured and were worried that Per Mertesacker would have to partner Gabriel in
defence, but they held firm against the
so - called deadly Man United attack force, and along with Petr Cech (5 shots — 5 saves) stopped the Red Devils from making any sort
of comeback.

This is the best game I've seen
so far
of Kolasinac and I hope it will continue, I really do like his style
of play bar the moments in the game where he was caught
out in
defence but I am sure he'll improve with game time.
so a first choice
defence of bellerin gab kos and darmien with kondogbia in DM position would give forward players real confidence... debouchey, chambers mert monreal as backup... and then a quality attacking option reus sterling pedro lacazette whatever... all better than walcott...... thats 3 in and half a dozen
out... shouldnt be a big deal..
I am an Ozil hater and I will say why I hate Ozil, Ozil is not a goal threat which would allow other attackers more space, Ozil job is not only to assist but also to score goals, he drops
out of sight when placed under pressure, does not provide the team with a lift in dire moments (for our
so called big player) and only concentrate on team
defence for a few minutes.
Football like life is uncertain... What is certain however is that following the same failed strategy year after year and expecting a different result is a sign
of ineptitude if not madness... Our best 11 ain't up to it largely because it doesn't threaten and unthreatened teams also mean there is more pressure on our
defence as well...
So a bit of tinkering in the middle of park ain't going to deliver titles that is for sure... Draxler plus a mobile striker is needed... The problem is that too man

This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety
of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style
of play has become a shadow
of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play
out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch
defences into wide positions, without the aid
of the backs coming up into the final 3rd,
so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through
so that we can advance play quickly
out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs
out wide, we've seen pace from the likes
of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play
of Monreal, but none
of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio
of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back
so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks
so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part
of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part
of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature
of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone
so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player
of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played
out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front
of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London,
so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that,
of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one
of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one
of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already
of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs
of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack
of mobility is an albatross around the necks
of our offence...
so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because
of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
Monreal and Koscielny are both
out injured
so we have our «
defence of the future» on show again, and we will also see how the twam will look when both our superstars leave...
You're
so angry and
out of control you can't tell legitimate comment from a fellow gooner (whether you're an AKB, AOB, or like me just a fan, who is fed up with the current sh*te around Arsenal FC) from something that is somehow some thinly veiled
defence of AW.
But as Khabib pointed
out Max hasn't fought alot
of fighters recently who have looked to take him down
so we can't really say for sure if his takedown
defence is really that great or not.
And it was looking as though Arsene Wenger had decided to use young Chambers in the centre
of defence or has a holding midfielder,
so maybe the former Gunner who was a regular starter at Turkish club Galatasaray until a fall
out with the president and manager left him
out in the cold could get his wish.
can u ever write an article without mocking arsene or wishing his reign to come to an end it is ok sometimes but every time come on man give it a break on to our
defence there are only 2 games in this season where team's overall defensive performance can be taken to doubt first was pool because
of both first team defenders
out second is olympiakos where u can point to team not defending
so well on corner that also was actually an individual mistake by ospina which changed the game
so our
defence is doing good job give credit where it is due
of course it would be interesting to see whether we can contain the most inform team in Europe.
Plus Per is retiring anyway
so number wise we are very short and we saw what happened at the beginning
of the season with a make shift
defence of players being played
out of position
Your spot on with many
of your points, particularly about Artetas excessive lateral passing being a major reason why we are
so slow
out of defence, the other major reason being the fact Mertesacker can't bring the ball
out of defence beause
of his lack
of pace.
Like yesterday was as low as it gets for me as fan I didn't even care when Liverpool got 3 rd and fourth goals because we're dead our pride as fans is same as players we're just dead hurt, sad, weak and spineless then it gets better ox is going Chelsea today and now timers sanchez has put in transfer request haha when board said change they meant it change as in we're selling all players and we're going like Aston Villa laugh u mite we are rotten from top to da bottom and it will get better cause I bet by Thursday we will bring in nobody and promote young kids we mite chance van diik he's going for 60 million and by Thursday night sky sports will report arsenal came in with last min bid
of 21 million for van diik it got flat
out laughed at
so at 1 min to 11 we came in again with bid
of 27 million and add ons til 2029 its hard and it is only beginning haha ox starts at anfield and was shambles and he is sold today says a lot about wenger if that was me I'd say stay away till ur sold u little traitor thanks ox hope its worth it, loyalty me behind ahwell we still bellerin another little man and heart holding for Barca ahhhh I'm
so mad we need Simeon's cum in and start bouncing heads off da canvas Jesus bring bk George graham at least we have
defence??
Ozil needs to be played more centrally if we hope to benefit from his creativity with the ball and Welbeck's first touch is far too sloppy to be played along side Lacazette... we need to find a formation which allows more service to those making runs from the middle
of the pitch... Lacazette can not play
so much with his back to goal or we're simply playing the same unsuccessful offensive scheme we played with Giroud, who is much better in that type
of role... I can only hope we keep Sanchez and purchase a true defensive midfielder then switch to a 4 -4-1-1, which allows us to have Ozil play more centrally with Sead and Sanchez on the left side and Ox and Bellerin on the right, which would stretch
defences so much that we could overwhelm most opponents with both runs in behind and overlapping runs
out wide
I felt Mertesacker was the worst player today and Holding next. There was no
defence today at all.The formation too is another I hate and doesn't really help us.Some
of our players look
so unnatural in this set up.We're fitting square pegs in round holes atm.Why not go all
out with 4 -2-3-1?
It's been a difficult season for Chelsea, who look likely at this point to just miss
out on a top four place after a weak
defence of the title they won
so resoundingly last season.
Into the final quarter and we set our shooters the task
of getting to 60 goals and the
defence keeping Edge Hill to under 25 goals, turning over Edge Hills centre and the
defence of Nancy and Bekah yet again getting ball after ball against a frustrated Edge Hill attack we went on to dominate the remainder
of the game running
out comfortable 61 - 23 winners
so both «goals» attained.
Todays game shows we hve
so many errors not only
defence, our forward guys luk lost and
out of context.
Not worried on either front... Arteta if fit can provide rest for some
of midfield and while Monreal has improved a lot he is not a powerful defender backs off far too much and lacks Ariel strength... plenty
of better left backs
out there to strengthen that side
of defence...
so Viello kondogbia and Rodriguez / darmian would do me for summer signings... Sell poldi Ryo Campbell no goals flamini etc bring on some
of youngsters...
Also Kos is
out at least for a month
so thanks Wenger that you did not replace Verminator, we could have Song back in that same deal and look how he has done in West Ham and can play also in middle
of defence.
But Flamini was dropping
so deep in front
of the
defence that he ended up
out of the midfield itself.
On the 21s, I was at OT tonight, a really good turn
out over 13k cheering on the reds, top support for a 21 game, Was not really surprised chelsea won, we were big underdogs going in, we did not really test their keeper that often which was a shame, still been a top season for Warren Joyce side, a makeshift
defence most
of the season and a lack
of striker options for most
of the season as well,
so a great effort just to be in the final, shame we couldnt win it.
The
defence of Burnley has been rock solid
so far this season and they have three clean sheets in their last three and they held
out for a 1 - 1 draw at Tottenham earlier in the season,
so could be value to get something
out of this back on home soil.
The game harked back to times in the not
so distant past where a calamitous Liverpool
defence would have to rely on a breathtaking attack if it were to dig itself
out of a hole, but under the new manager the team are required to work as a unit, and this collective responsibility is something which should be beneficial in the long run.
So they are likely to go
out and do the business and because
of their
defence, under 2.5 goals at Betfair is well worth considering.
Jose Mourinho has spoken
out in
defence of his player today, claiming that pundits are desperate for something to talk about,
so that's why they pick on Pogba.
Arsene Wenger has insisted that he would happily spend # 42 million on Mesut Ozil again and launched an impassioned
defence of his decision to play his club record signing
out wide
so far this season.
The Trotters have avoided defeat in just two
of their last twelve away matches in the Premier League, failing to even score in seven
of their last fourteen on the road, and while Arsenal's
defence has rolled
out the red carpet for opposing attackers this season − and will probably do
so again at the weekend − I don't a Bolt
defence that was exposed by Norwich last week and ripped apart by Manchester United the previous week being able to withstand the Gunners at the Emirates.
The Samba absence if
of particular concern as Blackburn's main route
of entry to goal would have been through the air, set - plays in particular,
so now they may have to concentrate more on their ground play and
out manoeuvring a Liverpool
defence which has uncharacteristically been leaking goals all season.
So, Stone
out till 2015, Barkley not ready to start training just yet, Mirallas
out for a number
of weeks, Howard flapping goals in, our central
defence pairing acting like the Chuckle Brothers without the timing, Coleman and McCarthy doubtful for the next game at least, Lukaku looking more like a # 2.8 m player than a # 28m one, Osman and Pienaar looking like a shadow
of their former selves, Everton outside the relegation zone by just two points.
The
defence will still be smarting from last weekend
so its backs to the wall time for the lads to try to minimise poor Hennessey from picking the ball
out of the net.
The Cherries have only scored the six goals
out on the road this season
so may not offer up too much
of a threat to Manchester United's
defence at the end
of the day.
It's unlikely that Mkhitaryan's
defence - splitting passes will be aimed at playing the 34 - year - old through for a run on goal,
so how will Mourinho ensure his first two major signings in midfield and attack can bring the best
out of each other?
As I mentionned above that ive just watched all the Arsenal game 2007 and 2008, Ive personnaly gave up with this idea
of strngthenin our
defence. Its obvious, we need CDM, and I strongly recommend Toure for that job, but finally, I found out our main PBM: AW is a man who beleives in: THE BEST DEFENCE IS ATTACKIN.He has built the team that way. When I watched our 2007 games, i could see that most of these teams who has defeated us this season played exactly the same style of game last season but they couldnt perform so much as our attackin side were so strong for them so that they were always held at their own defensive side. The game is completely Psycological. At the 1st 10mn of the game, they try to attack @their best, but just when we start attackin then all their mdlfldr start to pull back coz most of our attack are all dangerous. And this is what makes the diffrence between the so called BIG 4 and the rest of the league. The Pbm isnt really that our defence is so weak, It is our attack which is WEAK.Durin the first half of this season, Our guys couldnt perform any attackin strategy planned by AW, coz 1st: they were new to it, coz they have only practiced it durin trainin session.2 nd: Some of the key players are gone.3 rd: Even AW did nt know where exactly is the best position for those new players, the likes of Nasri, Vela, and some of them were all subsitute last year.Plus they are all young players who can improve and change their style game afte

All the parts have not clicked
so far, either the attack isn't being clinical enough or the
defence churns
out a bit
of a woeful performance.
