of law Ronald Rychlak (
best known for his book Hitler, the War and the Pope, a
well - researched
defence of Pius XII's record during the Second World War), which spells
out these revelations at greater length, is «dubious at
best» — or at least, the bits written by Pacepa are: the reviewer NCR admits that «what Rychlak contributes, drawn from his earlier work on Pope Pius, appears solid».

well.

out occasionally.Oh nearly forgot - We need a new Goalkeeper as
well.
I beleive this team in form will get the
best out of barca and even beat them Barcelona plays with high line with high pressure with cazorla, ozil and sanchez ability to get the ball from tight spaces we can pass the first
defence line and go counter attacking with theo and sanchez with some magical passes from our wizard we can put the fear in there team and could get a win atleast at the emirates but since cazorla and coquelin are not sure to be playing i feel it will be very hard to get a positive result but let's give it a go we have nothing to lose
Don't know why we didn't use the OG situation to try and get David Luiz — yes I know he can be a loose cannon, but he's

defence because not only do we lack cover in midfield and central defense, we also play them
out of position.

so a first choice
defence of bellerin gab kos and darmien with kondogbia in DM position would give forward players real confidence... debouchey, chambers mert monreal as backup... and then a quality attacking option reus sterling pedro lacazette whatever... all

Well written, but I think it will fall on deaf ears, my fear is as follows, it will take a loss in money for the manager and board to change, this will only come if we finish
out of the top 4, but knowing the board they would still give home a season to try again, I feel very sorry for Sanchez, he is total quality and deserves
better, most
of the other players look settled, turn up give70 % and get paid, no matter what level you play at you should come off the pitch thinking I gave everything, how many
of our players could say that, they lack motivation, player for player we are as
good if not
better than athletico Madrid but they have a manger that gets 100 %

If you have 20m to spend add another 12 and get Mustafi that should be your only concern... Also Lacazette just scored a hat trick today albeit against Nancy not really the
best defence out there but worth mentioning that the movements were really those
of a poacher, a striker always looking to go forward with an eye towards the goal at all time!!
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety
of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style
of play has become a shadow
of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play
out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch
defences into wide positions, without the aid
of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly
out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs
out wide, we've seen pace from the likes
of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play
of Monreal, but none
of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio
of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (
better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit
better during some points in the latter part
of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part
of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature
of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player
of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played
out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front
of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that,
of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one
of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one
of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already
of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs
of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack
of mobility is an albatross around the necks
of our offence... so when you ask who would be our
best starting 11, I don't have a clue because
of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits

best defence last season.AW made sure he destroyed it by selling our defenders and loaning

best out of the likes
of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
Coquelin had a really
good game today hardly ever
out of position always keeping the
defence covered — weve always had the attacking players but now weve got the scrappers too.
can u ever write an article without mocking arsene or wishing his reign to come to an end it is ok sometimes but every time come on man give it a break on to our
defence there are only 2 games in this season where team's overall defensive performance can be taken to doubt first was pool because
of both first team defenders
out second is olympiakos where u can point to team not defending so
well on corner that also was actually an individual mistake by ospina which changed the game so our
defence is doing
good job give credit where it is due
of course it would be interesting to see whether we can contain the most inform team in Europe.
Gotanidea is correct when he says we need explosive wingers. We need natural width and pace before we can even think about getting the
best from Lacazette and (hopefully) Auba without Wenger playing one
of them
out wide.We continue to allow
defences to dominate us by stopping us playing wide and we are forced into the crowded area outside the box trying to thread the ball through an eye
of a needle.
SC19 is our
best midfielders ANYTIME: He can play up to 3 or 4 positions; He will drive team
out of tight a
defence; He can use both legs efectively; He has a decent short taking with high degree
of accuracy; He is a cool headed guy with great skills (typical Spaniard).
As
well as City doing us a favour in pressuring Chelsea, they also knocked a lot
of confidence
out of our next opponents Southampton, exposing their
defence with three goals.
I don't anticipate seeing him
out for 20 minutes every night, but even getting 10 minutes consistently would be
good for his development I think. There's some talent there we could make use
of, if he can avoid fouls and play acceptable
defence.
This win for Arsenal over Premier League rivals Manchester United saw a great all round performance from the Gunners, both in attack and
defence and there were lots
of candidates for the Man
of the Match, such as Petr Cech who made three crucial saves, Alexis Sanchez for his two great goals and Theo Walcott for his
best game at centre forward, but for me it was Mesut Ozil who stood
out with his sublime passing, movement, vision and work rate.
Not very confident tonight on account
of our
defence and midfielders to make it worse arsene still goes on about quality in the squad, yeah quality alright only if you know how to get the
best out of them unfortunately wenger doesn't that's why a lot
of player's don't want to sign for arsenal
On the positive side I have seen plenty to suggest he will be an authoritative passing CB when he gets his time — maybe the
best passer we have amongst our defenders — seen him ping quite a few quick, accurate passes to feet when playing
out of defence.
Like yesterday was as low as it gets for me as fan I didn't even care when Liverpool got 3 rd and fourth goals because we're dead our pride as fans is same as players we're just dead hurt, sad, weak and spineless then it gets
better ox is going Chelsea today and now timers sanchez has put in transfer request haha when board said change they meant it change as in we're selling all players and we're going like Aston Villa laugh u mite we are rotten from top to da bottom and it will get
better cause I bet by Thursday we will bring in nobody and promote young kids we mite chance van diik he's going for 60 million and by Thursday night sky sports will report arsenal came in with last min bid
of 21 million for van diik it got flat
out laughed at so at 1 min to 11 we came in again with bid
of 27 million and add ons til 2029 its hard and it is only beginning haha ox starts at anfield and was shambles and he is sold today says a lot about wenger if that was me I'd say stay away till ur sold u little traitor thanks ox hope its worth it, loyalty me behind ahwell we still bellerin another little man and heart holding for Barca ahhhh I'm so mad we need Simeon's cum in and start bouncing heads off da canvas Jesus bring bk George graham at least we have
defence??
Well it's no surprise the
defence wasn't great, because as usual Wenger decided to start players
out of position yet again.
It's either we're starting a season with just one fit defender (then using other makeshift players to augment the
defence for a number
of games; and by the time the real defenders are back and fit, the season is all but over for us), or we start a season without a recognisable striker (after losing our striker to injury, knowing he would return 6 weeks or more into the campaign), or we commence a season without any true DM (
well, it's like that dm position isn't ever going to be sorted
out).
Kos and Gab are pretty similar, bit like the few times Kos and TV5 paired up with no great success, no nonsense types who tend to move toward the ball, CC and Merts more positional and both
better ball players
out of defence — CC is very impressive at that imo.
They say great attacks win you games and great
defences win you titles, and that's certainly true
of United at their peak, who were able to grind
out narrow wins even when not at their
best due to having the likes
of Jaap Stam, Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic keeping things tight at the back for all those years.
Ozil needs to be played more centrally if we hope to benefit from his creativity with the ball and Welbeck's first touch is far too sloppy to be played along side Lacazette... we need to find a formation which allows more service to those making runs from the middle
of the pitch... Lacazette can not play so much with his back to goal or we're simply playing the same unsuccessful offensive scheme we played with Giroud, who is much
better in that type
of role... I can only hope we keep Sanchez and purchase a true defensive midfielder then switch to a 4 -4-1-1, which allows us to have Ozil play more centrally with Sead and Sanchez on the left side and Ox and Bellerin on the right, which would stretch
defences so much that we could overwhelm most opponents with both runs in behind and overlapping runs
out wide
