These monitors are great tools because even when you're eating lots of fat if you consume too much protein, your body can be
thrown out of ketosis.
If you're on the ketogenic diet, the last thing you want to do is throw your
body out of ketosis!
If you notice yourself
coming out of ketosis then see how you are responding to the amount of protein in your meals.
CD: I actually find it easier because protein levels are lower in general, and too much protein kicks
people out of ketosis.
If your body is very efficient with carbohydrates, then you may
stay out of ketosis even at that.
For me it's really important to go in and
out of ketosis by adding in foods like extra green vegetables and even green juice.
I go in and
out of ketosis as needed and don't have any rules around it, it all depends on how I feel and what is going on in my life.
But only for people who have already been keto - adapted and may have
dropped out of ketosis for a short period of time, like after a cheat day.

switch out of ketosis.
If I
went out of ketosis, I did not want my body to require another period of adaptation before burning ketones again.

out of ketosis like you mentioned?
Research for the most part has shown that consuming carbs before exercise should not negatively affect ketosis, but again, individual results may vary as some find they drop
out of ketosis transiently as result of pre-workout carbs.
Of course, it's rare to find a person who actually achieves ketosis and stays in it, because the slightest sugary morsel can kick a
butt out of ketosis.
