I work
out of my home office just blocks from Amazon headquarters in Seattle, and am very involved in the tech community here in town.

In July 2010, figures published by the
Home Office showed that experiments on animals in the UK had fallen by 1 % to
just over 3.6 million, with a 10 % decrease in the number

I admit, this isn't my strongest area since my kids are still pre-school age and my husband is often in and

just roost here in Manhattan and go nowhere, why, you could do this any where else, you did not need to come to New York
just to cower in a hole, really — and she looks at me sweetly as she takes a new silk jumpsuit

Brings back a memory
of an old training method that was promoted in
offices in the early 80's and perhaps so, even today: how to prospect for buyers — make an appointment to view a listed property purely for purposes
of checking it
out for engaging the seller as a would be buyer — usually around the dinner hour when the owners are likely to be
home,
just a quick walk through — engage the seller in specific conversation; be friendly — ask the seller have they bought yet.
Another standard
office would
just have added to the marketing blitz that was already flattening prospective homebuyers, most
of whom live
out of state and are trying to find a vacation or retirement
home between rounds
of golf.
And I could tell you a whole long story about how this green carpet went up the stairs and down the hallway towards the bedrooms but the bedrooms have neutral carpet that didn't need replacing and that the green carpet was also in the
office, living room and dining room but we have hardwood floors in the kitchen, slate in the entry / hallway / downstairs bathroom / laundry room and fairly new carpet in the family room meaning our
home essentially had flooring schizophrenia and I
just couldn't figure
out how to make the most
of our budget and still get the look I wanted.
I didn't sleep well, hustled into the
office via a mailbox delivery to my ex's place
of the youngest's homework and orange clothes for Harmony Day, listened to a message on my phone from the eldest's school about her fringe being too long (WTF FFS), bolted
home after work to let the fur babies inside, bolted back to work for an

of suggested edits needed to be made MUCH earlier to avoid appearing in the blog...
Sitting in my
office (formerly dining room) to the front
of my very open floorplan
home just off the open foyer, with a million stacks
of papers piled on every available surface, desperately trying to figure
out where to store anything, how to organize multiple work projects, how to create enough work surface, how to keep 3 cats happy OFF the desk, and how to feel comfortable allowing anyone to enter my house without a 24 - hour notice.
This new flame is doing a great job keeping my tootsies warm during the day (my little

just out of the shot behind the sofa).

of that clutter
just needs to be straightened
out once and for all, like files and documents in the
home office or kitchen.
