Now that I finally finished all the last details for W's nursery updates, it was time to knock
out some of the holiday decorating tasks on my pre-baby to - do list.
Not exact matches
She suggests using pressed seasonal
holiday flowers to
decorate beeswax or soy candles, making decorative paperweights
out of rocks, and making a picture frame
decorated with puzzle pieces (from puzzles that are missing pieces).
And I even have several amazingly talented ladies joining me in this simple

You guys know me... I'm a less - is - more kind
of girl when it comes to
decorating the farmhouse, but I couldn't resist playing with a more whimsical look for the
holidays this year, especially once I found some really sweet nutcrackers and these beautiful, little trees while I was
out shopping at HomeGoods this past week.

Because so many children
of all ages are in and
out of our home during the
holidays, I
decorate with little ones in mind, and I enjoy being a big kid and playing with all
of my Christmas goodies too!
We might still be living
out of boxes upstairs -LRB--RRB- but I was determined to
decorate for the
holidays since we're celebrating locally with our families this year.
It's enough to make you want to buy a pair
of fair isle fingerless gloves and break
out your favorite»80s record while you
decorate for the
holidays.
One day you are thinking «Oh, there is plenty
of time to really rock it this Christmas and make some new handmade ornaments, to try all those amazing recipes you've been saving on Pinterest to wow everybody, figure
out what presents to give to loved ones and how to find the most unique ways to wrap them, choose a new accent color and maybe a theme for
decorating your Christmas tree and your home, make a Christmas playlist to listen while enjoying some quality family time and a list
of cheesy Christmas movies to watch throughout the
holidays.
I love
decorating my house for the season, picking
out costumes and,
of course, hosting friends to celebrate this fun fall
holiday.
I've spent most
of the week organizing our home,
decorating for the
holidays — Oliver helped me pick
out a perfect little Christmas tree, buying gifts and spending a lot more time in the kitchen.
As Christmas approaches (and I continue to
decorate), I'll be doing another post featuring more pics
of my home decked
out for the
holidays.
We've spent tons
of holidays at the ballpark watching the Rangers, parades in our old neighborhood where I'd spend hours
decorating my bike in our garage the night before, and a few
out of town but still finding somewhere to watch fireworks.
For me, picking
out and
decorating our Christmas tree is the ritual that kicks off the
holiday season and I imagine that's the same for a lot
of people.
Whether you're scouting the local farms or pulling the trusty faux evergreen
out of the attic, setting up and
decorating your Christmas tree is a favorite
holiday pastime.
I really enjoy
decorating for Christmas the most
out of all
of the
holidays, and sometimes I try to think «outside the box» when doing so.

It's a nice change
of pace to see clothing instead
of things related to the home, DIY projects,
holiday decorating, etc that's
out there in blogland.
Holiday Pet Safety Tips: As the
holiday season arrives, it means that it is time to get all
of our adornment
out and begin
decorating.
Feed hungry babies, wipe up spills, exercise patience, calm squabbles, clean, cook, organize, get the laundry washed and put away, doctor's appointments, school activities, baseball, football, soccer games, plan celebrations and
holidays,
decorate for parties and seasons, bake cookies for school events, buy and wrap presents, hugs, kisses, storytime, grocery shop, clothes shop, fix boo - boo's and owies, bring encouragement, pray, comfort hearts and wipe tears, make happy memories, play games together, care for them when they get sick in the middle
of the night, change diapers, bathe the little ones so they're fresh, clean and smelling sweet, tuck them into bed with prayers at night, get
out the door to go to church with hair combed and shoes on, tell them you love them to the moon and back, sit, listen and look into their eyes and savor their sweetness... and a million other things!
I never ever
decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving, making a big deal
out of «one
holiday at a time» and such.

I love this time
of year so much that I barely made it through Halloween before I started pulling

I definitely like to
decorate for the seasons and
holidays subtly... I'm not one
of those people that likes to go all
out with the seasonal decor.
But I have always wanted to be one
of «those» people who is so organized that they have all
of their Christmas shopping done by fall and they can FULLY enjoy the
holiday season — baking,
decorating and wrapping gifts, and not stressed
out about too much money flying
out the window at Christmas.
