i made this last night, and have just finished it off for lunch, its absolutely delicious, i made a few tweeks, i put the potato in raw, i cut them into cubes, but didn't par boil them, this thickened up the curry nicely, i also added, fresh garlic and coriander at the end with the spinach, it was quite thick today, so i loosened it up with some coconut milk (fresh) it really is so good, i served it with black quinoa, I've also just received your book, can't wait to try out more of recipes, you should be very proud of your self Ella, a beautiful book, and inspiring story x

This turned out a bit spicy for me, so I added about half a cup of unsweetened almond milk, 2 cups hot water to thin it out, and served it with a little yoghurt and lots of coriander to cut the heat.

so we had some hazelnuts we blended in the vitamix with filtered water to the point the vitamix got warm and filtered out the fiber with a clean handkerchief (in hindsight i could of not filtered it but i like the filtered nut milk with coffee) and mixed together, but it all lacked fiber, so we used muesli (the perfect ingredient) to bulk up the mixture and used brown sugar to sweeten with all the other ingredients (i know the s word but i'm eating with a non-plant based eater).

Made as directed the first time except I was out of ground flaxseed so I used ground chia instead and had to thin the batter with more milk slightly.

So, 1 can of chickpeas, 8 dates, 2 tbsp of cocoa, and half a cup of almond milk all blended until super fudgy and smooth, scoop that out, and repeat with the remaining ingredients.

This looks wonderfull, but one question, in the recipe its says 0.5 cups of milk is an ingredient, then to laddle out 0.5 cup of the milk, and so on, but then later it says to ass the remaining milk, how can there be any remaining milk if you laddle out all of the 0.5 cups?

I think it tastes best when warmed and served with a refreshing glass of iced coffee + almond milk, but my mom gobbled up a whole slice straight out of the refrigerator so I don't think we have any complaints there.

The measurements aren't necessarily so important — if the batter looks too thick to you, just stir in a bit more milk to thin it out — it's a bit of a «go by how it looks» and you should be fine

SO if you're out of cream you can use evaporated milk in a pinch!
