out of luck with a bunch
of purply - stained blueberry posts lurking in my drafts folder.
Here's what I changed: I used a 15 - oz can
of pumpkin (not pie filling — just
pumpkin puree) in place
of the bananas; I swapped
out the
spices for about 1 tsp each
of cinnamon and ginger, and mixed those in with the
pumpkin first; I opted for the larger volume
of maple syrup from the original recipe, as the
pumpkin wouldn't contribute sweetness the way the bananas do; I baked the batter as a dozen standard muffins, which took about 20 minutes at 350.

I opted to leave the
spices out of my muffins and allow the
pumpkin and pecan flavors to shine.
It highlights the flavour and
spices of pumpkin pie but it doesn't involve the fussy and time - consuming aspects
of chilling and rolling
out a pie pastry crust.
I made it today with sweet potato instead
of pumpkin, and I left
out all the
spices and the sweetners because I wanted a savory bread to go with fried eggs.
Freshly baked
pumpkin, hot apple cider, those warm
spices that linger, reflect those gorgeous jewel - toned leaves and take the bite
out of the crisp fall air.

I have been really craving
pumpkin after cleaning

If you're like my mom, you may be weirded
out by the idea
of a sweet potato dessert (to be fair, she's also one
of those anti-
pumpkin people), but but BUT, think about it... sweet potato adds moisture just like
pumpkin, but it's sweeter, so it works perfectly in these little
spiced cakes.
I was very tempted to use my homemade
pumpkin puree in this recipe but seeing that the last batch
of waffles turned into a «waffle scramble», I decided to leave it
out and just use
pumpkin spice instead.
In the end we ran
out of time to stage the world - record attempt, and killed off ice cream soup, but we kept
spiced pumpkin ice cream alive.
Glance into my purse, and on any given day you will find a variety
of gluten - free snack bars - from Lara bars to EPIC bars to fruit strips to Rx Bars (side note: did you know RxBar just came
out with a
pumpkin spice flavor?
I have a question though... the recipe calls for 2 teaspoons
of cinnamon AND 3 cinnamon sticks??? If that's not an error, do you think replacing the 2 teaspoons
of cinnamon for 2 teaspoons
of homemade
pumpkin spice would work

pumpkin soup is hearty and filling with a hint
of spice and chili to really bring the flavors
out.
This recipe is one
of my favorite ways to enjoy beets as it combines them with
pumpkin pie
spice, coconut oil, and maple syrup, then roasts them to bring
out their natural sweetness!
