I came
out of the theater really liking it..

And though there was a lot
of disappointment spouted online about the
theater's closing, the town didn't
really come
out to give it a proper send - off on its final day.
Walking
out of the darkened
theater, I left with the belief that whatever else may muddy the waters
of modern worship, this group
of Aussies
really are fulfilling a divine appointment as hope dealers in a dark and grim world.
My guy felt
really badly for me, so the first weekend
of November, he cancelled our movie
theater date night, rented a cute animated DVD instead, and pulled
out some nails and a sharp knife.
So, for you comedy buffs
out there that
really are intent on seeing this, hey, who's going to stop you (maybe your parents, I suppose), but believe me, the lack
of layers in the story, the nonsensical dialogue, and the overall «wow, I can't believe that I just saw that while sitting in a movie
theater» factor, probably will leave you at least a little disappointed.
These aren't people you'd
really care to spend any time with, in or
out of the
theater.
By the end
of the film, I
really didn't care what happened and I just wanted to get
out of the
theater.
As you'd expect from a movie that's the first half
of a book, there isn't
really an ending to the movie, and it doesn't naturally end on much
of a cliffhanger either, so if you walk
out of the
theater feeling tepid, this will likely be one
of the major reasons.
Things get a little more bearable after the first act (which is so violently unpleasant that I
really considered walking
out of the
theater and just accepting my losses), but The Bronze never approaches anything close to «watchable».
Having come
out of something so intense — and I was
really out on a limb because it was so new to me, working as a
theater actor — to go into the arms
of Greta and be safe was incredible.
Take all
of these missed thematic opportunities, throw in a plot setup that's been rehashed too many times to count (criminals on death row given a chance to fight for their freedom to the delight
of millions
of viewers), and let Neveldine and Taylor toss in every stylistic flourish they've ever imagined, and there is
really no end to the brain - drain until one walks
out of the
theater.
Even with an increased curiosity about the new «Silent Hill» film and trying to make sense
of whatever is going on with «Cloud Atlas» — which I'm starting to think is just
out there enough that I might
really enjoy it — the next movie I'm most excited about is Daniel Craig's return to James Bond in «Skyfall» set to arrive in
theaters on Nov. 9.
With How to Train Your Dragon 2 enjoying incredibly positive reviews
out of Cannes and poised to do big box office when it opens in
theaters, it's not
really a surprise that Katzenberg is thinking about possibly making a fourth film — and if DeBlois is still onboard, one imagines the quality will remain high.
So even if blood and guts is not
really your thing, if you see this film, they'll probably be what you remember most when you're walking
out of the
theater.
When «Enemy
of the State» first hit
theaters in 1998, it was a mainstream techno - thriller that basically combined the Big Brother concept with the reminder that you're not paranoid if they
really are
out to get you.
If you're old enough to remember seeing Disney's music film Fantasia — either during the original release in
theaters (you must be
really old), VHS, TV or even the sequel that came
out in 1999, I'm pretty sure that you most likely imagined what would have happened if you were in the apprentice's shoes, making objects dance around the room at your leisure to the tune
of epic orchestral pieces.
I read this stuff and it conjures up images from \ night
of the living dead \ which I saw in the
theater when it came
out and that I would
really rather forget.
Sure, it's about half the price
of a night
out in New York, but it's still
really expensive, and a lot
of families don't have $ 40 to throw around every time there's a somewhat interesting movie in
theaters.
Having recently (painstakingly) consolidated and cleaned up all
of my wires in the main home
theater, I was not
really interested in climbing up on the roof to install an antenna and a whole new set
of wires just to check
out the simple.tv service.
