I did the blue last and painted the stars from my own little star stencil I made
out of a piece of hard plastic.
The more use I can
get out of a piece of clothing, the better, and this dress more than lives up to those standards.
I've been rocking this look so much this spring (last seen here and here) that I almost
ran out of pieces to pair!
Knowing that I'll continue to get use
out of pieces like this for years to come, makes the purchase 100 % worth it to me.
And while I'm still waiting for nature's colors to change, I've been
changing out some of the pieces in my wardrobe for ones inspired by the colors of fall.
Each time he
grows out of a piece of clothing there's no point in holding on to it for our next baby.
But honestly just as equally important as buying ethically, is really getting the most
out of your pieces so they don't need to be replaced every season.
Make a stencil in your favorite design, like a heart or star, by cutting the
shape out of a piece of cardboard.
There's a special thrill that comes from creating new
outfits out of pieces that have been hanging in your possession for a long time.
I decided to get some more
use out of some pieces that I will have to retire soon enough, although who knows with this weather!
She offers easy to mix and match items within her line and with other brands so you can get the
most out of each piece.
I always challenge myself not to wear the same outfit twice so I can constantly find new
value out of pieces I've worn before.
I would definitely
change out some of the pieces (lamp behind the couch, kitchen chandelier, blue stool, etc.), but I still enjoyed looking at this fun space!
If you don't want to spend extra money on a patch, simply make one
out of a piece of another type of fabric.
