of these terascale systems, it would be like having a

of a football field,
so by the time you ran
out of room, it would take weeks to clean it up.
I know it's painful to be apart from your nice
kitchen equipment, but the fact is that
so many people (roommates, friends, friends
of roommates, etc.) will be in and
out of your
kitchen in college that you really can't know how well your stuff will be treated.
Unless I live in a vacuum
of small, urban misfortunes that happen only to me
so that the rest
of the population may be spared, I can safely assume that most
of you will know what it's like to stumble into the
kitchen in the morning only to find
out that you're
out of coffee.

of the direction many cooks are going today — ditching their pricey tasting menus and oh -
so - serious
kitchens for a chilled -
out, affordable, and approachable style
of dining.
So why not stay
out of the
kitchen even more and whip up those yummy desserts outside with your barbecue guests?
We didn't want to just chuck them
out and have them go to landfill though
so we did a bit
of research into companies that help with this and came across Herne Hill Waste Collective, which is local to our

so much fun to help mix up the batter, carefully scoop
out the cookie dough on the pans, and wait anxiously until the timer went off and they were cool enough to eat.
After browsing through handfuls
of recipes, I thought to myself — «I should try Smitten
Kitchen — every recipe I've tried from there has turned
out good,»
so I came here and found this one, and then proceeded to ask my husband to accompany me to the store at midnight.
[For all it's brand spankin» new gloriousness, our
kitchen doesn't have very much space in the way
of food storage
so we had to figure
out a shelving situation because this hippie has a lot
of grub to store.]
I'm blender and food processor challenged (
so excited to finally get
out of college life and into actually having a
kitchen life, but a real
kitchen is still a few months away)- do you think mixing these with a hand mixer would work?
So my task for this weekend is to hunker down in the
kitchen, go through my baking list and churn
out lots
of cookies!!
I would also like to see a nice stock
of meals in the freezer for the lazy summer days ahead
so I can spend less time in the
kitchen (except for all the canning I am planning and hoping for) and more time hanging
out with the kiddos.
Using a boxed cake mix cuts back our prep time,
so we're in and
out of the
kitchen in no time.
So I went to my
kitchen to make this bread (again because I LOVE it) and thought I had run
out of coconut oil.

kitchen begging for food.
It turned
out I always had to make 2 pans because the first pan
out of the oven would disapear
so quickly, there would be any left for dinner / guests / potluck because my husband and daughters would slowly wander through the
kitchen and get a piece every time!
For whatever reason he had no reason to get a form
of eating utensil (for his pizza)
so I was up against the
kitchen wall trying not to giggle and scream
out «Baked good, drawer, grab a spoon, what?
Kids are
out of school, guests are visiting, the dog is underfoot, and I keep tripping over the plasticware my kids leave in the floor
so they can fit inside the fort that used to be called my
kitchen cabinet.
So now I want to share some
of my normal and usual meals — when I'm away from my camera, when I'm not dining
out with my friends, when it's just me, alone in the
kitchen:
I had guys in putting tile floors in my
kitchen / breakfast area, and some other areas in my house, last week,
so I was only
out of the
kitchen for the better part
of a week — and that was long enough.
And
so while making the standard egg salad I usually prepare a day in advance
so I won't be running around the
kitchen all frazzled looking for something to eat (trust me, it doesn't take much to frazzle the heck
out of me) I thought: not today.
But my whole family and a number
of friends have tried and raved,
so I am going
out on a limb and hoping it tastes as good assembled as it did on the back
of a spoon when I was making it My blender honestly did die a bit in the making
of this cake, but I have lamented here often that raw desserts can be tricky in my
kitchen.
I am just as distraught when people tell me they forgot to eat breakfast too... I practically jump
out of bed every morning and dance to the
kitchen I am
SO excited to eat.
One
of my crock pots gets going a little too hot,
so I slip the very sliver
of the end
of a toothpick under the lid (between the lid and the rim
of the crock) and this lets just enough steam
out to prevent having bean juice splattered all over my
kitchen counters while still keeping the beans at a boil.
I feel like I've been
out of the
kitchen and away from my computer for
so long and I've missed it
so much.
We've started quite a few house projects, approximately 8 weeks before having a baby, one
of which will put me
out of a
kitchen for a few weeks,
so we may fall a little quite over here.
I don't think anything
so attractive has ever come
out of my
kitchen.
Take your
kitchen shears and cut on either side
of the backbone, it might take some convincing on a couple spots, then once you've cut through on both sides toss the bone into the stockpot with the neck if you got it and place the turkey right onto the baking sheet your roasting it on breast side up
so it's sort
of splayed
out.
However, they've been one
of my favorite things to make since I first started
out in the
kitchen, and they've been my back - pocket super-easy Halloween party secret weapon for
so many years that I just had to share them with you.
Pomelo is one
of my favorite restaurants in town -
so small and unassuming with just great dishes coming
out of the
kitchen.
So,
of course, I head into the
kitchen and figure
out what kind
of pancakes I'm going to whip up for my boys.
Unfortunately, I just found
out I have an allergy with almonds
so everything almond - related in my cupboard is now getting tossed
out of my
kitchen.
So, after picking up some
of the yogurt, I headed into the
kitchen last night to try
out their Greek Turkey Burger Recipe with Homemade Tzatziki sauce.
We would always stand around the
kitchen counter and wait until she was done mixing
so we could lick the batter
out of the bowl or from the beaters.
We seem to be going though an age
of competitions and it's interesting for me to see
so much fascination with being a chef, and people acting
out on television what goes on (or they perceive goes on) in restaurant
kitchens.

I first started experimenting with this recipe years ago in my downtown nyc studio
kitchen, or bedroom — they were
so close together I don't even know, I was perplexed at how chocolate mousse could be made
out of avocados.
I had a 2 pound bag
of brown sugar
so I pulled
out my handy dandy
kitchen scale to get the precise measurement.
But mostly because if my
SO were trying to cut
out the majority
of animal products from their diet but only ate eggs, I would find that a lot easier to get on board with than a bevvy
of steaks and fillets (read: dead animal carcasses) being grilled in the same
kitchen I prepare my own food in.
