Then you want to get into any experience that you have, you don't have to throw everything onto the LinkedIn profile, you don't put your babysitting job, but if you're working part - time in a shop and you can talk about the volume
of sales that you're dealing with, you know all that kind
of stuff that you'll put into a CV, so definitely fill
out any professional experience that you have.
Until then (or when the Toronto Maple Leafs win the Stanley Cup, whichever comes first) ORE will continue to turn
out mostly turkeys ready to be
stuffed possessing real estate
sales person licenses with expense - money to spend trying to fulfill / buy the image
of a «professional» via slick websites and canned objection - handling lines designed to put those damned nay - saying skeptical consumers in their place (ready to sign right here, right now!).
ORE needs to keep the casino gamblers
out and encourage those with the right
stuff to become professional Realtors as a «first» choice
of vocation instead
of a hail - Mary stop - gap job and / or a last ditch money - grab attempt that anyone can buy into to hopefully keep the wolves from the door (with a quick big hit), because, in the latter instance, your stereotypical Realtor in the public's jaundiced communal eye fulfils its expectation as just another desperate commissioned
sales hack... just another product
of the CREA / ORE dues / fee - producing professional never - ending spin cycle.
Such a great idea, too, because if you don't have enough
stuff for -LCB- or aren't into yard
sales -RCB- this is such a great way to trade
out stuff you want to get rid
of for new
stuff.
I will be kicking off this season with enthusiasm, it spite
of the fact that instead
of spending every waking moment decorating my house and baking cookies, I'll probably be spending considerable amounts
of time decluttering, packing boxes and fixing
stuff so we can put a «house for
sale sign»
out in the yard.
Yep, definitely like Christmas (and not like a cyclone went threw spewing Christmas
stuff)-- but I have far fewer boxes
of decorations, so that helps — and last year, I took advantage
of the
sales to get plastic storage boxes and finally got
stuff into those and
out of the bazillion half - falling - apart cardboard boxes
of every possible type.
And while we're on the subject
of secondhand
stuff, I thought it would be fun to start a new blog category called «My Favorite Finds» to share posts about the kinds
of things that always seem to draw me when I'm
out and about at the flea market (or now estate
sales!)
I'll take a before picture
of the pile
of stuff that came
out of our closets and the after... as what we have left after the yard
sale gets hauled away to Goodwill!
I recently moved and sold
out lots
of stuff in my house on craigslist and ebay before having a yard
sale.
Without them, you'll have a pile
of leftovers at the end
of your
sale, and trust us: it's a lot more fun hauling that
stuff out of boxes than packing them back in!
Walking around checking
out the rest
of the
sale stuff I just kept thinking it was ridiculous to spend $ 30 on something I didn't like.
It's kind
of like my daily reward for working so hard on my other projects... I get to be creative, make pretty
stuff, offer it for
sale, and I don't have the pressure
of having to ship
out anything, and I don't have any inventory sitting around my studio.
