I just changed
out my white curtains for yellow ones, and it made all the difference..
One subtle change I made throughout the whole room, was I swapped
out my white curtains for warmer gray ones.

A few other must - buys in my opinion - Dr. Brown's bottles, teething gel (my daughter got a tooth at 3 months - I was totally unprepared for that), a few light - weight receiving blankets (we double swaddled her with those under the swaddle blanket) a comfortable sling, MAM pacifiers, and most importantly - a
white noise sound machine (we got one that did
white noise or music - I love it b / c I put the music part one when she does independent play in her room and the
white noise when she sleeps) and black
out curtains.
We put them in airplane mode, we set the alarms, we put
out, you know,
white noise kind of thing already on low so that when we come upstairs, light are already off,
curtains are closed, lights are super, super dim just so we can see where the heck we're going, right?
Consider a
white noise machine to drown
out street noise, and get blackout
curtains.

In our Living Room this year I welcomed fall in by changing
out our light and airy
white curtains for a darker gray
curtain panel.

out that interesting blue and

In a new build, I like to go with all -
white walls and
curtains and put colour into the middle of the room with art and textiles; in a period house, I might go for a strong colour on the wall picked
out by a
white ceiling and skirtings.
I'm probably going to be trading
out these
curtains for some
white ones... but these aren't bad in the mean - time.

I have actually been thinking of switching
out my kitchen

white polka dots.
I am still debating on adding

out the garage, planning Kate's birthday party details, getting a Thanksgiving menu in order, sifting through the Christmas decorations, and starting on a DIY tree skirt.
