Rabbits kept
in outdoor hutches are at risk of illness or death from exposure, parasite infestation, and predation.
Some are small operations of
dilapidated outdoor hutches and some are large facilities that look like high - tech canine supermax prisons.
If you are planning on housing your Hulstlander Rabbit outside, be sure to provide him with a safe and
secure outdoor hutch that has plenty of room, is always kept clean, and is weatherproof.
In addition to temperature - control issues,
outdoor hutches place rabbits at risk to other predators, increase the likelihood of their escaping and getting lost, and can create health problems as a result of the isolation.
Aside from weather changes and predators, rabbits tend to be forgotten about
in outdoor hutches.
If you keep your guinea pig in
an outdoor hutch, you may need to use a spatula or hand shovel to scrape away the urine and feces that has accumulated on the wire.
This area must be indoors, as all of our rabbits are considered «house rabbits» and we do not adopt to homes where the rabbits may be relegated to

They could adapt to living in
an outdoor hutch, provided that their needs are met, but would fare better if kept indoors.
