Well I suppose you can argue that the atmosphere is bounded by the surface of the earth and
the outer edge of the universe; but then maybe that Volume is expanding; isn't space supposed to be expanding.

We can see more distant stars, take better mesuarement, collect more data from our device, but the light from the
outer edge does not mean that is the end
of the
universe..
