Although don't think this is the last you've seen of our red garage door —
in true scientist fashion, I plotted out a few blog
posts over the next month and studiously planned my
outfits and took
photos in advance.
With every negative comes a positive... so with the crazy snow storm NY is having comes a perfectly white backdrop that looks like something out of a movie... When I started editing

post I was kinda
in awe... me freezing my a ** off was totally worth the beautiful outcome... I present to you a little Valentine's Day

outfits but Ive decided to change...
So, though the craziness of packing our entire house into 3 U-boxes and 2 vehicles has made it difficult to
post, and though lack of a signal has made it difficult to keep
in touch via Instagram and Facebook, I want to share some
photos from that day of our trip, along with
outfit details, of course!
I have been so busy
in the last couple of weeks, so
outfit posts have been the last thing on my mind (sorry fashionistas) but I found style inspiration from somewhere a few days ago and shot some
outfit photos.
I realized I have other
outfit photos in this skirt, but haven't
posted them here (just yet).
The dress I wore
in my last
post is my favorite of the two
outfits I featured
in the

My highlight was clearly tracking down some of the best street art
in LA (thanks to Studio DIY's «Wall Crawl»
post) to take
outfit photos in front of it (I mean come on, who doesn't think that's fun:p) haha!
While I was home
in New England I had my sister take some
photos for me and this is the first of a few
outfit posts I will be sharing from Christmas
in MA!
Today is just a quick
post because I wanted to share a few
photos of this easy travel
outfit from our day spent
in Alexandria Bay, New York.
I didn't get chance to
post my
outfit from the last challenge, but you can see a

Even though I'm a «fashion blogger» and I
post photos of myself wearing cute
outfits everyday, the reality is I'm usually at home on the couch
in my pj's or jeans and a t - shirt (hence my blog name — Jeans and a T - cup).

I was hoping to remake the
photos on my blue military jacket
outfit post taken last fall
in the same location, but it's still too early, most leaves are still pretty much green.
I hate to be like, hey guys, I'm back to blogging so here, have a sponsored
post, but, to be honest, I haven't had time to take
outfit photos because I'm still working on unpacking and figuring out how to find places for everything
in our new apartment / duplex / house.
The majority of the
photos taken of me look similar to these
photos... not the 5 or 6 that end up
in my
outfit posts!
I definitely have
outfits that don't photograph well, mostly ones that I love but
in photos look far too boring to bother
posting as sometimes the different textures of my typically all - black ensembles get lost on the
photos xxxxxxx p.s. I would absolutely love to be a pen pal, I've never actually had one except a german pen pal when I was 14 and my german was limited to say the least!
He agreed to take some
photos of me this week, so I can have some
outfit posts to show you while we'll be
in London (we're leaving this Friday night!).
Lol, my thoughts about them because I see more
posts with fashion books on coffee tables or used as an accessory
in outfit photos than I see
posts about actually reading them.
As viewed
in my email inbox, this

photo and I thought hey, I like that
outfit, what's the problem?
For a long time, i put up
posts without planning ahead, i spent hours editing
outfit photos, creating collages and typing up contents of blog
posts i wanted to
post in the same day that i wanted to publish them.
I am wearing them lately
in my
outfit posts, but I always like to make some close up
photos of these lovelies.
I could also
post photos of myself
in some great
outfit, but for what?
This was actually our first test / impromptu
outfit shoot (hence the
photo quality isn't as great as the previous
post), but I wanted to share with you guys anyways since it is definitely starting to feel like summer
in Seattle!
I thought these
photos taken
in Cyprus wearing my Love Leigh kimono, would be the perfect match for her beautiful bohemian mixed media art using embroidery threads and beads, and I wanted to incorporate them into one of my
outfit posts, which I thought works really well.
You can get creative too by creating boards like «
Outfit ideas for a first date» and
post photos of
outfits that fit this description
in that board.
In this room, I plan upcoming blog content like organizing
outfits on my rolling rack of what I'm going to wear to
post, writing notes on my Basic Invite stationery, taking
outfit photos on my Amazon Echo Look and creating vinyl stickers with my Silhouette Portrait like the monogram ones on my acrylic deskware!

I hope you're having a fun and safe labor day weekend... I am
in NYC for work and I won't have too much content / many
outfit post for you because I am away from Roger and just don't have anyone to take my
photos.
In case you're wondering why the heck I opened today's
post with that sentence for an
outfit post (and used that title), here's why: These
photos were shot at the apartment from Friends and every Friends» episode began with, «The One...».
I waited several months to
post this
outfit because 1) I took the
photos dead
in the middle of winter and 2) I knew it would be perfect for spring.
I also knew that I wanted to take the
photos for this
outfit post in this place, which you have already seen before
in some of my older
posts (here and here).
I've decided this year, after 4 years of denial and suffering, that I'm going to stop pretending I'm living
in a regular winter climate city hence stopped taking
photos outside during harsh winter and risk hypothermia or pneumonia (happened once, not kidding), so this is my first non-sponsored
outfit post in a long time and it really feels good to be back.
(I.E. if you wore a certain pair of boots a month ago
in an
outfit post, use that
photo again
in your Black Friday
post guide, and link back to that old
post so people can get an idea of how to wear them!)
Once a week I encourage you to get out
in public, take your
outfit photos while doing an activity (even if it's just getting coffee), use words to tell the story of your adventure, and linkup the
post here.
Piper Weiss did, so she started a blog called My Mom the Style Icon where she
posts photos of stylish moms that date from the 1920s through the 1980s, tells the stories of the moms
in the
photos, and offers up hilarious commentary on their
outfits.
Bomber jackets are sporty so we usually wear it with casual
outfits, like the one
in the
photos in the second part of the
post.
Since I typically don't
post photos of myself on this blog, GO TRY IT ON is a great way to feel comfortable
posting your favorite
outfits in seconds.
I've been
in a bit of a rut with the blog and to be honest, I don't love taking
outfit photos and writing
posts all that much.
So remember that non-stop rain
in Houston over the weekend, well it prevented me from getting my
outfit photos shot for today's
post.
