I haven't taken
outfit photos in our entry since my very first post many moons ago... I was feeling so great!
As I'm sure is the case for most bloggers, I take a lot
of outfit photos in advance.
I honestly planned on
shooting outfit photos while gone (especially in the city), but then I decided that I needed a little break!
This is why I sometimes can't get
outfit photos on weekends; my photographer works two 12 - hour days in a row.
Today my blog turned one, so I figured it was only fitting to share a few of my favorite
outfit photos from the past year.
Part of
doing outfit photos sometimes is just finding the perfect location, freezing my bum off and rushing to get the perfect shot so I can get back indoors.
That entire mess of emotions about having to walk in the rain, in heels, in a white blazer and not
get outfit photos done was caused by 10 freaking minutes of rain.
Although I didn't have a chance to take any more
outfit photos while I was away, I have SO many new looks to show you guys when I get home!
I'm finally starting to get back in the groove of things and after taking
outfit photos before work three days this week I'm actually starting feel like a productive blogger!
I wish I took
more outfit photos because I finally started wearing my fall booties with jackets and off the shoulder shirts.
The lovely weather allows me to take as many
outfit photos as possible, which is great.
I am keeping the bag for her but I am sure it will pop up on the blog in future
outfit photos here and there.
I wanted to grow my business, and that wasn't going to happen if I just
shared outfit photos with no depth.
My favorite part of my outfit was nowhere to be seen in
outfit photos so I decided to take separate pictures of them.
So many times I've been editing my
own outfit photos for the blog and thinking to myself that if only people would know what happened before or after those photos were shot.
Usually when you
see outfit photos I have worn them out of my house or at least with a group of family at my house during a holiday or gathering.
As I mentioned in this post, I want this space to be a place that's more than
just outfit photos (although fashion will always be the # 1 priority).
Well, fortunately I have some
great outfit photos up my sleeve, these are obviously from before the snow melted away.
Of course over the years I've adopted the method of taking four sets of
outfit photos over the weekend and switching one post a week to a non outfit.
I also try to vary the content of my posts (i.e., not posting too
many outfit photos in a row).
But after taking
outfit photos there last week we decided to check out the third floor to see if there was anything interesting there.
I was supposed to take a few
outfit photos today, and it's raining mad so I'm just crossing the fingers that it stops soon.
On multiple
outfits photo session days, this layering technique makes the lip game all the more stronger.
Also, your link to those
old outfit photos was so great — at least now I can remind myself that great style is an evolutionary process!
So we naturally took some
quick outfit photos before going in to shop, because I seriously love this place as a background of my photos.
My posts consisted of
daily outfit photos with a blurb about the inspiration behind the outfit I wore.
I decided why not use this as an opportunity to learn how to take my own
blog outfit photos if I get in a crunch or the hubby is unavailable.
