But as they confront their chaotic lives, kids in jail share the same goals as their peers in the world
outside: get a
high school diploma, secure a decent job, go to college, make something
of themselves.
We'll explore who these students are and what they need from
schools — inside and
outside of the classroom — to succeed on the path to learning English and earning a
high school diploma.
A student is defined as a dropout if the student enrolled in Texas public

of new policies implemented by insurance carriers • Maintain EOB files EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • A minimum

Perhaps because wages are so low, only 11 states have a minimum education requirement beyond a
high school diploma for teachers in center - based child care settings
outside of public pre-K.
For women with a

school diploma and maybe some college, the number is about 30 percent.42 And these women are having children
outside of marriage in large numbers; indeed, about half
of nonmarital births are to cohabiting couples.43 The point here is that most women without a college degree continue to experience «love and babies» in their early twenties, just without the benefit
