The nominations
for outstanding feature film directors were announced on Thursday, with Gerwig and Peele joining the ranks of Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water), Martin McDonagh (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), and Christopher Nolan (Dunkirk).
