Hahaaa... I agree
as I had to cook my still VERY moist banana nut loaf for over 1.5 hrs when the original recipe called for your typical 1 hr... The darn thing just didn't want to dry
up... But I ended
up removing it from the cooling
oven after I came
back from running errands and even though still «wet», it tasted awesome... I was looking for a recipe that called for coconut flour
as I thought that might improve on the absorption capability and came across your recipe... sounds perfect!
The cupcakes puffed
up quite high in the
oven, then deflated
back to about level
as they cooled.
It takes hours to preheat a traditional tandoor, and
as the thick walls become heated, they radiate the heat
back into the
oven where the temperatures can reach
up to 800 degrees F.
Not sure what I did wrong... used all correct ingredients and amounts,
oven at 375 (with extra thermometer inside
oven as back -
up), baked 8 min.
I double bake it though so it is crispier (take it out let it cool, break it
up and put
back in the
oven 8 - 10 more minutes) I have had it
as long
as two weeks and it is still crunchy.
If your crust does puff
up slightly, gently press it down, using the
back of a spoon,
as soon
as you remove the pan from the
oven.
