Unfortunately, I did not catch that I was to turn the
temp down after baking the crust, so after the filling was in the pie baked at convection
oven 400 degrees for an hour.
I flipped it into my bread pan (so the slightly dried out side was
down) and put it in the
oven while it heated to baking
temp.
Also, at the top is says the
oven temp is 450 and then 400, but nowhere in the recipe does it tell you to turn
down the
temp.
It started out with the muffins on the same
temp, and then I just left it in afterwards (with the
oven turned
down) to basically dehydrate them until they turned into chips.
I have a convection - only
oven, so i took the
temp down 10 degrees.
Also, because I was doing batches, I didn't want to mess with
oven temps up and
down, so split the difference and baked them at 425.
I have seen some similar comments and you advise to put the buns back in the
oven and dry it out at a lower
temp, will it work now that the buns have cooled
down, a day after it was baked?
