(2) somewhat linked to the previous comment in that we never seem to be prepared to hit the ground running with our best potential lineup come opening day... it's become so common, in recent years, that many fans actually hope we stumble a little in the first couple games just so it forces Wenger to bring in reinforcements... unfortunately this can be problematic, thus one of the most common phrases associated with Wenger, «panic buy»... this situation is also negatively impacted by the ridiculous policy regarding players who played in the summer months... right
now I'm watching the Super Cup and not a single player is unavailable to either manager, including Ronaldo, yet somehow we have a list of players half a mile

over the years... just another sign of the fragility that permeates this club

Basically this
long post leaves me saying we
now currently have a 24 man squad classed as
over 21 (born 1993 or before) in addition we have some highly thought of under 21s like bellerin and chambers that already command a place in first x1 or the «23» so unless flamini, campbell, wellington, Martinez or even rosicky decide they won't be getting enough game
time I do not really see any signings more coming in.

for 3 years we've needed a striker and a stong CDM all the pundits say is arsenal need a top striker and a cdm to anchor the team and bring strenth to our team which is true and 3 years later and the same problems if we brought in a player like calvarho and a good striker and right
now i know we'd all take Balotelli or remy
over giroud we'd be a great team and it's been that way for such a

you can't gloss
over the fact that we have not been good enough to win the PL or UCL for a
long time now..
the obvious fact is that the club began to stagnate in football terms a decade ago after the CL semi against man utd and has been in outright retreat
over the last 3 years... some fans were calling for wenger to leave in 2011 - 12 as it was clear he could not cope with a more competitive environment others have been more tolerant, hanging on to fa cup glory and hoping that he would somehow self correct his weak and erratic management style but most
now realise that is not possible and that the club will deteriorate further under his management so also want him gone, that has left a hard core of wenger loyalists who are either fixated with the past (selecting episodic good and bad
times to justify wengers decade
long failure) or too frightened of the future to contemplate a change (with selective reference to failed managerial changes by way of justification) or both, to conclude, through a mixture of panglossian fatalism and corporate philosophising, how lucky we are to have such an honourable and educated man in charge... along with their confused references to club loyalty and addiction to computer games these are troubled souls who need our sympathy and concerned medical advice... SO JUST F OFF STOCK UP ON CANNED SOUP AND GO SUPPORT ASTON VILLA ON FIFA!
Sort of explains it quite simply Grandad.Wenger just will not let go and the Board have up until

i'm too lazy to get into this discussion right

Finally, and to reiterate an earlier point, the way forward for this club is to stop paying below average bench players so much money and to focus the bulk of the weekly wages on establishing a dominant starting 11... this will require the club to eat some wages in order to ship some players out, get rid of any deadwood
over the age of 21, develop a cutting edge scouting service and put your money where your mouth is for once... I would much rather have a starting 11 that was world - class and give some reasonably paid young blue - chippers playing
time when injuries occur than have 2 or 3 world class players surrounded by a plethora of overpaid and underwhelming players... management would no
longer be able to sell their half - baked plans to the fans under the guise of «winning
now», which any intelligent fan knows is a crap - shoot at best, and instead create a a squad that provides hope for the present and the future... this is exactly the model that has been used by Barcelona, Real & Bayern, so it should be good enough for us... by the way, until Messi & Ronaldo re-signed just recently all 3 clubs weekly wages were on par with ours... think about that for a second or two
you wont see a cazorla or a xavi losing possession, not only that but they drive the team forward.but unfortunately u hav players like ramsey, who do nt drive the attack like the above two, also he loses possessions sometimes by attempting fancy moves.its sad ramsey gives more importance to style
over substance.unfortunately, i feel players like ramsey hav contributed to arsenal's inability... imagine a team like barcelona playing with him, constantly losing posession leading to conceding goals and so on.difference is barca's manager wud take them out, while under wenger u r rewarded with the nxt game!!!! i do nt deny he was top notch a season or two back, but
now hes a liability imo and need to change his mentality.even that opportunity he got against tottenham where thought
longer before taking a shot thus giving defender
time to get to him and take off the ball.i bet if it was cazorla, arsenal wud hav scored...

now it is nearly April and Walcott has made just five starts, two of them in the FA cup, and has only featured eight
times as a sub.
I don't believe that Arsene Wenger made that bid or enquiry, with all due respect I will say Wenger right
now lacks what it takes to win EPL title, every concerned and genuine Arsenal fan knows that Madrid will not be selling Bale for
now, so why wasting
time pointing hands on players you know you are not going to buy, how much
time did Chelsea spent in acquiring Bakayoko and Morrata, how much did Bakayoko cost, whats this
long battle
over lemar?
I do not like to harp on about Arsenal and how luck has not been on our side for a
long time now, because it often sounds like sour grapes, while other people often say that luck evens itself out
over the course of a season or two.
I would rather want quality
over quantity, and in the past he was forced to buy cheap and ultimately not really get the best players... but
now I feel I would rather buy one world class player at a
time and bind them in for the
long term, than buy 2 mediocre players and then moan about them a year down the line when they are not consistent enough and under performing.
I agree tho many fans who cant read games like those who played it a
long time (no offence) but reading a game is half the battle and as someone who played for 25 years tho not the best teams or leagues i still know what its about and have watched 30 years
now of ball on tv i can say we are a disgrace at the back how many stray passes Xhaca alone made is a joke i can only hope something changes cause we need it i love us dominating teams but when we got 70 % possesion and only 1 shot on target its a joke.sry lad s but enoughs enough Wenger had his day its
over now time to move on...................
that my friend is corporate bs branding cover for... Arsenal FC 4th place is what we aspire to... The envy days are
long gone I am afraid... On the striker issue wenger is
now saying he still believes in Walcott for that role... If so you had better get used to spending a lot if
time on your knees
over the next 9 months
