as the framework for mine: in the simmering pot, there's now
brown jasmine
rice, two bay leaves, a pinch of ground cardamom, tangerine zest, Meyer lemon zest (they're in season now, Deb, in case you might want a reminder), three whole cloves, the almond paste (in place of the sugar and almond extract), some unsweetened, shredded coconut, and a big pinch of salt.
The skillet is a chronic meal
as is, but feel free to serve it
over brown rice or quinoa for a whole grain boost, or
over some chopped romaine for crunch and extra greenery.
I'm writing this
as I dig into this healthy tuna salad
over brown rice crackers and an avocado salad.
Here's a super-quick lentil fix if you don't have time to cook — heat up a can of Progresso Lentil Soup (which is good,
as far
as canned soup goes), strain the liquid out, and pour the beans
over some cooked
brown rice.

as a stew,

brown rice, or spooned into steamed corn...

as red or black quinoa, or red, purple, or black
rice has benefits
over white or
brown.
We served
over spiral
brown rice noodles, but I'd like it with zucchini noodles
as well.

I have a 10 yr old GSD and I did extensive research on raw food diets and home cooked diets to ensure I was giving her a complete and balanced meal (balance
over time) and my method is making her a bone broth (she doesn't get the cooked bones) with fresh herbs and veg that take my fancy at time of shop and I do add some
