Although the Continental
glides over most surfaces with scarcely a trembling, its balance of performance and luxury is tilted too much toward luxury for my taste.
This is only under more extreme conditions on broken roads, as the Mercedes still floats
over most surfaces with a more settled gait than the Audi.
The ride is
excellent over most surfaces but can become a bit jarring over severely potholed pavement and as Eric mentioned, the steering requires far too much effort at low speeds but is otherwise perfect.
Inside it's infinitely more polished than the M3: the steering wheel is huge and quite fat, but there's lovely stitching everywhere, Alcantara
draped over most surfaces and the same Recaro seats are now shelled in shiny, perfect carbonfibre weave and trimmed in leather and Alcantara.
Although the ride is decently
compliant over most surfaces, it can become slightly choppy on rough or broken pavement and definitely picks up a little harshness when the optional, and firmer, run - flat tires are fitted.
The ride quality is
good over most surfaces although larger wheels such as on the Abarth trim can make for a harder ride.
There's a pliant ride
over most surfaces — only larger road zits send a shudder through the cabin — and a sort of relaxing, loping gait on country roads and motorways.
Regardless of the methods, the Tundra provides a smooth ride
over most surfaces.
