While e-readers obviously offer many advantages
over paper books, I would argue that most of the above specs are essential to how most people think of the act of engaged, active reading.
eBooks have an advantage
over paper books in that they're more portable (you can fit an entire documentation library on an SDcard) and are, in some cases, cheaper to produce.
