BUT, by wearing a plain tee, layered with a collared shirt
OVER a skirt like this, it gives the illusion of elongating my torso — THUS, slimming my hips.

skirts that go

And it seems that many Tweeters died a bit too
over the totally sheer
skirt, which revealed a coordinating leotard -
like onesie underneath.
Don't get me wrong, I totally know that some girls are all about that bass and there's nothing wrong with that, but tight dresses that showed my curves were never really my thing — I always concentrated on showcasing other assets,
like my kind - of - creepilly - small waist, hence the
over use of the crop top & midi
skirt combo.
So what i do is to pick one trend that i love to wear just
like the
over the knee boots and A-line
skirt combo.
So, I put on a gray and navy striped layering tee (long sleeve) from Target, pulled the
skirt up
over,
like a tunic, paired it with charcoal leggings, long slouchy patterned black socks, and brown boots.
For the color scheme, I felt
like keeping things relatively neutral with the gray bodysuit, dark gray pencil
skirt, grayish / taupe strappy heels, and a camel trench coat
over top.
Number one son, Jasper, says I look fat but I
like the full
skirt flare of the shorts
over the wide leg of the trousers.
I'd be very surprised to see a
skirt like this instore for a little
over $ 10 though, so I'm happy I still scored a bargain.
You can wear denim shorts
like I did, put it
over a sundress, with a
skirt... the possibilities are endless!

On a day its warmer (
like the day we shot this outfit) I can wear this plaid
skirt with bare legs, but on a chilly day I can easily throw black tights underneath it or wear my black suede
over the knee boots.
Technically, it's a pair of shorts with a flap
over the front so it looks
like a
skirt from the front side and shorts from the backside.
Also, I
like the untucked look with the tunic
over the
skirt.

Ohhhh have i missed you and missed coming here too, i have never tried this look before (
skirt over leggings) and to think that i have so much of them in my closet, i
like the fact that they are easy to just put on and go.
