Mix together the balsamic vinegar, the date syrup and water and pour
evenly over the figs, giving the tin a gentle shake.
I also added a drizzle of
honey over the figs to sweeten them and this worked wonders on the flavor!
Pour the batter into the baking sheet and drop the figs on top, pour any excess liquid
right over the figs.
Pour hot
water over figs until figs are just covered (you will need approximately 1/2 cup of hot water for this).
Combine the honey (if your honey is not runny, place in the microwave for 10 - 20 seconds to loosen up) and Orange juice in a bowl then
spoon over the Figs.
Plate the arugula and then layer with the roasted figs, drizzling a bit more
vinaigrette over the figs if desired, and then sprinkle with the crumbled goat cheese.
Drizzle a
little over my fig stuffed centre cut pork chop, or on a fig stuffed chicken breast.
Mix the coconut oil, cacao powder and vanilla together in a small saucepan over a low heat until melted, then
pour over the fig and cashew mixture evenly
Lift up one side of the dough using the parchment paper and fold
it over the fig puree so that it covers half of the fig puree.
i made a version of this today by whipping chocolate (90 %) and fresh rosemary together and had
it over figs.
Lay
it over the fig spread.
Drizzle
some over the figs and the remainder around each basket (not shown).
