I have been lamenting
over painting the
furniture at our beach house, and you have given me the confidence to just do it!!!! The colors and patterns are exactly what I've imagined in my mind, and now I have
pictures to prove how awesome my room will now be!!!
Some of the nicer touches are all marble top finishes, Hard red - wood / mahogany
furniture through out the unit, Beautiful original
picture frames on walls and as outdoor balcony looking
over ocean with patio
furniture.
Over the past few months I've shared several distressing techniques and this one is very similar to the others only I did a few things different, so I wanted to share a tutorial that shows you how to distress a piece of
furniture since most of my distressing has been with smaller decorative items such as
picture frames, step stools and wooden signs.
Inside, drape white sheets
over the
furniture, string cobwebs wherever seems spookiest, adjust your framed
pictures so they're crooked, put LED candles in red jars (check eBay) all around the room and find an MP3 of creepy sounds.
I re-did about 6 pieces of
furniture over the last week — so M - A-N-Y
