We do have an accurate copy
of the original text represented in these
manuscripts (see Geisler and Nix, GIB, chapter 11); the nearly 5,800 New Testament
manuscripts we possess contain all or nearly all
of the original text, and we can reconstruct the original text with
over 99 percent accuracy.
As we learned in the discussion on Inerrancy, the process
of copying the Greek and Hebrew texts caused errors to creep into the biblical
