Using a foam roller I applied my charcoal gray paint
over the stencil starting from the left and moving toward the right side of the stencil.

I'm sure I had some kind of plan for this piece,
starting it in pastel colors, but once the turquoise pretty sold, I saw this chest as another that could look good in blues... I tipped it on its back and
started with an all -
over plaster
stencil on the drawer fronts --
(The walls in my home were all SUPER textured and bumpy... which is especially difficult to
stencil over... so
starting with a somewhat smooth surface is best)
I then picked up a dab on my small foam
stenciling brush, swirled it on a paper plate, and blotted a bit on a paper towel and
started swirling and pouncing
over the
stencil.
It all
started when I convinced my MIL to order this beautiful all
over stencil from Royal Design Studio.
