An easy trick to trim off excess dough is to let it hang
over the tart pan and run the rolling pin over the top.
In a small cup, whisk the olive oil and the lemon juice and 1 tsp vinegar, season with salt and pepper to taste and
drizzle over the tart.
To assemble, place marshmallows
all over the tart and place under a broiler for 2 minutes, keeping a careful eye to ensure that the marshmallows don't burn.
Tuck the dough against the edges of the pan, and run the rolling
pin over the tart pan to trim off excess overhanging dough.
Use your rolling pin to lift it up, then
drape over the tart case so there is an overhang of pastry on the sides.
Swirl through enough raspberry couli to create a ripple effect and save the rest to
serve over the tart upon serving.
Using a citrus zester, zest dark chocolate over the coconut whipped cream layer until the desired amount of chocolate shavings have been
dusted over the tarts.
Now, Ina brushes the apples with a apricot jam glaze (a trick my mum always uses too) but I opted for a tahini caramel instead — drizzled
over the tart whilst still warm.
This recipe at C'est la Vegan had rave reviews and I'd made it before but unbaked, this time I went the whole hog and baked it so it would crumble
nicely over the tart and in - between the layers.
I'm not a fan of sweet - savory cooking — with a few exceptions, most notably glazed Korean chicken wings, but when I saw the sticky jar of brusque miel de ronce (wild blackberry honey) on her counter, I suggested drizzling a
bit over the tart just before baking.
Sprinkle the pine
nuts over the tarts, and then bake for a further four or five minutes, until the pastry is risen and crisp.

Before serving, you can brush the pears with some warmed apple jelly to glaze, or dust confectioner's
sugar over the tart.
Scatter oat
mixture over tart, sprinkle with sea salt, and chill until filling is set, at least 1 hour.
Cool to room temperature (glaze will thicken upon standing; drizzle
over tart just before serving.)
Once you have a smooth sauce, pour
it over the tart.
Soup aside, the oil is also great drizzled on just about any kind of egg,
over tarts, on potato dishes / salads - it even made a cracker spread with goat cheese a little more special.
I had a bit of coconut cream leftover so I made it into a coconut whipped cream and piped
it over my tarts with some extra sliced strawberries and mint.
Once the dough is large enough so that it will cover the bottom of the pan and go up the sides, roll the dough around the rolling pin then unroll
it over the tart pan.
