Never mind appetizer, I would choose these as my main course

The other
turkeys know the end is coming one
day but don't see the point in losing your head or getting your feathers in a knot
over it.
Among the highlights: getting to know my sisters - in - law better, participating in perhaps the best church service I've been to in years, indulging in Maki Evans» delicious cupcakes gourmet, enjoying an impromptu living room concert from the Beekeepers, seeing more wildlife in one week in New Jersey than I've seen in years in Tennessee (deer, rabbits, foxes,
turkeys, etc.), watching Veggie Tales with my beautiful nephew Will, long morning walks with my mother - in - law, and a Mother's
Day gathering that included half of the family (which is
over fifteen people!).
And then we put a whole wrench in the traditional monkeyworks and swapped out roles so that now the guys and gals cook together and the ladies are the first to fist pump the SF 49ers as they roll
over those Seattle Seahawks in this year's
turkey day's big game (fingers crossed!)
Because we will be having
turkey in different forms for the next few
days I wanted to share some of our favorite recipes to feature some yummy ways to use left -
overs!
That means come Thanksgiving
Day, of the approximately 46 million
turkeys likely to be purchased,
over 9 million will go uneaten.
In recent
days I've sent him an
over ripe banana, stale pretzels, and the container of left -
over smoked
turkey meat instead of the smoked
turkey sandwiches I had made for him.
These tortas are so good you might find yourself making Easter dinner all
over again just to have the
turkey for tortas the next
day.
Unfortunately, I'm sort of indifferent to the
turkey; I don't dislike it by any means, but it's definitely not one of the menu items I salivate
over as the
day nears closer.
With the dust and the
turkey now well and truly settled, we've taken a look back
over the action and picked out five things we learned from the Boxing
Day action.
It starts with Thanksgiving, our vision of which seems to immediately turn to Norman Rockwell's iconic illustration, «Freedom from Want,» with loved ones gathered around the table and Mom in an apron presenting the
turkey she's no doubt slaved

day as well as everything else.

days my 9 month old daughter has chosen to quit cold

Had a traditional
turkey sandwich on whole grain bread the other
day (was in a meeting and had no control
over lunch) didn't have any major issues.
The authors didn't report how much food the
turkey poults ate, but they estimated that the high vitamin A group consumed 15,000 IU per
day, which is, after adjusting for body weight, equivalent to a human taking in
over 3,500,000 IU per
day.
According to the National
Turkey Federation, about 20 % of all
turkey (just
over three pounds per person) is consumed on Thanksgiving
Day.
We're wrapping up a jam - packed long weekend at the moment, full on spice cake,
turkey, and classic Jell - O salad, and are already eager to put out the Halloween decorations now that
Turkey Day is
over, later this week.
Monday, December 26th arrives and you are Christmas'd out — tired, cranky (didn't get the one special present you were hoping for;
turkey stuffing sandwiches don't sound at all appealing and Boxing
Day sales might just push you
over the edge...).
