I don't want to be misconstrued here; I will wholeheartedly welcome a new striker who will give us another 6 - 12 PL goals, and our overall chances of winning the league will undoubtedly increase (assuming of course, all things being equal, there are no adverse effects to the team overall with a new face scoring more goals — weakening us defensively, not linking as well with others, dressing room morale etc).
