Mission: Helping Hounds Dog Rescue (HHDR) provides a compassionate approach to dog rescue by matching homeless dogs
from overcrowded shelter systems with loving homes.
While rescues and no kill shelters are critical to addressing the problem once an animal enters the shelter, pet retention programs are one of the most effective ways to save lives by preventing pets from entering the
already overcrowded shelter system in the first place.

By focusing on prevention of pet homelessness, we aim to keep pets out of
the overcrowded shelter system and with owners who love them.
