I can guarantee you that if I was
overeating on pasta, rice, cookies, bread, donuts, and other
processed foods during these last 6 weeks, I would have gained a massive amount of weight.
The truth is that I have no problem at all gaining weight when I
overeat on junk
foods, grain - based
foods, or eat large amounts of
processed foods in general.
No trans fats, deep fried
foods, or any other
processed foods such as candies, cookies, cakes, etc were allowed in the
overeating experiment... I was only allowed to
overeat on healthy
food.
I think people make this way too complicated... If you are just to focus
on a good balance between fats, carbs, and proteins, and make sure to eat only natural unprocessed organic
foods (as close to their natural state as possible) instead of packaged,
processed foods, a lot of the problems that most people have with cravings, a sweet tooth,
overeating, blood sugar swings, etc all take care of themselves.
Overeating decreases the effectiveness of hydrochloric acid and enzymes, not to mention that the
foods most people choose to binge
on are
processed, nutrient - depleted, junk
foods containing high levels of
processed vegetable oils.
