the overwhelming flavor of the coconut oil - I really did nt taste much else, except the occasional raisin.
Not exact matches
While I do use virgin
coconut oil in some
of my recipes, I like using refined
coconut here because refined
coconut oil does not taste like
coconut, and I worried that
coconut flavor would
overwhelm the chocolate
flavor.
I usually find the
coconut flavor of most
coconut yogurts pretty
overwhelming, but perhaps the rhubarb and rose overpower the
coconut?
You can use any nut butter you'd like in place
of it, I prefer
coconut because the
flavor doesn't
overwhelm the shake - but I'd imagine almond or cashew to be tasty too!
Butternut squash simmered in
coconut milk and pureed makes it rich and creamy, peanut butter also adds to the smooth, luxurious texture, and Thai red curry paste brings in the exotic
flavor and a bit
of warmth, but not
overwhelming spice since fit is balanced by the natural sweetness
of the squash.
I like the more complex
flavor from the hint
of coconut and maple syrup — both
of which you can taste, but they're not
overwhelming.
